Yeah, I have an orange scheme. And yes, that is a guitar. Do I play the guitar? Why else would I have a guitar? For my collection? Hahaha....
That's a real thing.
It's a guitar my bàbá ìyá ("maternal grandfather" in Yoruba) gave it to me three years ago. It's a Cordoba C10, Canadian Cedar Top. This is about $1100. I cherish this more than my iPhone.
"Estás no teu quarto?" Mamãe yelled from the kitchen. She asked if I was in my room. Ugh, please don't ask me to do anything. I just GOT HOME!!! We mainly speak Portuguese at home so the rest of the conversation will be translated into English. She opened my door and took off her gloves. "How was your first day?"
"Ugh. Too long. Do I really have to go back?"
"Well, we didn't move six hours from home just so you can skip school, did we?"
"Didn't we?" I jumped on my bed and went under my blankets. "Hey! You know better than to wear your outside clothes in bed!"
"Ughhhhhhhh....." I slumped out of my bed onto the floor. I crawled to my drawers and took out a pair of sweatpants and a hockey jersey...all while groaning in agony. "What time will Papai get home?"
"Just in time for dinner. We're having jollof, curry goat, and cabbage."
"Yay!" I wiggled my legs into the air because I was too lazy to wiggle my arms. My phone beeped so I checked it.
