Carol POV
After Brier was cleaned up, dressed and waiting in her room for Maggie I decided to go and sit in the living room and read a book.

I had just gotten back from visiting Aubrey and helping out with what she needs. I just don't know how Daryl is going to react when he finds out that his little girl is very sick. If we hadn't gotten here when we did, she wouldn't be here.

I don't even know how long I was reading for when I heard, what sounded like, crying. I furrowed my eyebrows together and folded the page that I was on and set it on the couch.

My first instinct was to check on the kids and make sure that they were okay. Maggie has to be going through a lot right now and she needs as much as rest as possible.

I quietly popped my head in to see them sleeping and quietly snoring. I then slowly backed out of the room and went down the hall to Maggie's room.

I pressed my ear to the door and listened. Nothing. I quietly twisted the door knob and walked over to her bed to see her tear stained cheeks and tightly squeezing her pillow.

I got an idea that might help her sleep better through the night. I left her room and went into the kids' room and gently picked up Corey.

When I got back to her room I gently peeled back the covers and took the pillow out of her grip. I put him into her arms, facing her. I then did the same thing for Brier and put her close to her baby brother and put Maggie's limp arm across the two.

Before I left her room I put pillows beside Brier to keep her from falling out of the bed. I smiled and how cute they looked and as soon as the group popped into my mind, the smile went away.

I sighed and left the room making sure to close the door just in case Brier slipped out of bed and decided to roam around the house.

******

I laid awake in bed for about 2 hours before deciding to go and check up on Beth and Aubrey.

The air got slightly colder at night so I did have to throw on a light sweater before walking down the street. I appreciate everything these people have done for us and all but if our people don't get back soon, I'm going to go and look for them.

I opened the door slightly and saw Beth laying on the bed in the candle lit room. I fully stepped in and closed the door trying not to wake her up. I then walked over and sat in the empty chair that sat at the edge of the bed where Beth was earlier.

As I looked at her I noticed that she had Aubrey laying on her stomach. I quietly sighed just thinking about how broken Daryl will look once he sees that his daughter is laying her like this, in pain. I do have lots of hope that she will get better but that is the only thing that I can do for her right now is hope for the best.

I pulled out my book and opened it to the folded over piece of paper and resumed to where I left off. I had been reading for maybe an hour before Aubrey burst out screaming as if she was in pain. I quickly shot up at the same time as Beth and ran to the bed. "What is happening to her?"

"I don't know Beth, let me see her." I heald my arms out taking her. As soon as she was in my arms I felt how hot she was,"She's burning up."

I was swaying back and forth with her in my arms before I looked over at Beth who had her hand over her mouth,"What if it is what we had at the prison?"

I immediately shook my head,"No. She's fine, she has to be."

"Carol I can't loose my baby I just can't." She sobbed.

I got aggravated,"Where is this damn doctor? She is suppose to be here." I hissed and realised that maybe she didn't even care for Aubrey and that we have to take care of her.
