Daryl POV
I ran down the street and straight to the house Maggie told me to go to. I turned the door nob and stepped in to see a woman standing but a bed that contained someone. "You seen a girl named Beth?"

She moved to the side and that's when I saw her. She made eye contact with me and shook her head with tears forming in her eyes. The only issue was that I didn't see Aubrey anywhere.

I walked over looking at those blue eyes that I have grown to love and asked,"Where's she?"

"I tried Daryl, I tired but..." She started sobbing. The tears were now falling out of my eyes as I walked over and pulled Beth into me arms. After a moment I asked with a raspy voice,"How? I need to know how Beth, I can't..."

She looked up at me and shook her head,"She's still here but barely. She just got sick so we came here and she was fine but I don't know what happened."

"Can I see her?" I asked Beth.

"Baby I don't want you to see her like that, it's awful." She replied and buried her face into my chest.

"Beth I have to, that's my little girl, our princess." I looked over at the woman standing in the room,"You can take me to see her."

I slipped out of the bed and followed behind the girl to a room. She looked back at me before opening it,"She's real sick and I don't think that you should touch her, it may be contagious."

I growled,"That's my little girl in there, just open the damn door."

She opened the door and behind it was a small child laying on a bed and IV going into its arm.

I walked over to where the baby laid so I could see its face to know that it was my daughter. My breath was taken away when I saw her face.

The little blue eyes that would always light up whenever she saw me or Beth were tucked away behind her eyelids. Her entire body was drained of colour and was replaced with droplets of sweat.

I shook my head slightly and asked her,"What happened to you baby girl?" Before reaching down and wrapping her in a blanket and lifting her into my arms. Her small body was limp and she didn't react at all to my touch or my voice.

I looked over at the doctor and asked,"How much longer she got?"

She sighed,"Not much she's on her way out. I've tried every possible thing but I can't figure out what went wrong."

I nodded and said,"I'm taking her home. She needs to be peaceful, at least grant her that."

I watched as she thought about it for a moment before agreeing,"Take her IVs, to keep her hydrated and keep her cool with a washcloth."

I nodded and took the IV that was hanging on the bed and placed it on the blanket before walking out of the room and back to where Beth was.

As I was approaching I heard her sobbing. I appeared in the doorway and quietly told her,"Beth Let's go home."

She looked up and when she saw Aubrey in my arms,"We taking her home?"

I nodded,"She's going home."

Beth nodded and with that we left the building and we were outside walking. It was silent before she said,"I'm sorry Darly I tired but I didn't know what to do."

I stayed silent not because I blamed Beth but because I didn't know what to say. When we finally got to the house I looked over at Beth and before I could ask anything she spoke up,"It's just us 3 here for now. You can take her upstairs to our room while I go and get Daddy."
