"Don't be concerned about others not appreciating you. Be concerned about you not appreciating others."
ConfuciusJulia's POV
"Hey, lazy bum." Becky hollered when she was a few steps away from me. Everyone in the hallway turned and stared at me...
This girl never discard things from that head of hers.
On a Monday morning, for greetings sake. I'm in the hallway, waiting for Becky because we need to get to class before Chloe and Shawn. We sought of made one stupid and crazy bet on Saturday when they were over at my house and all I got was being called a lazy bum in front of half of the school's population.
"You don't have to call me that," I said in hush voice when she was beside me.
"Lazy bum?" She smirked
"That was on Friday," I whined.
"Doesn't matter," she flipped her red hair in a dismissing manner.
I scoffed at her. "We need to get to English class, remember?" I reached out for her hand.
"Why the rush?" She looked confused.
Really, girl? Do I have to remind her she was the one who landed me into making a bet after she flopped our plan.
"Don't you remember?" I raised my hand.
"What needs to be remembered?" She asked.
Ahgrrr!
"You remember me being a lazy bum on Friday, but you don't remember what happened on Saturday," I eyed her and she wiggled her eyes and shook her head.
I swear, my friend's a dummy... It's not like I will say that to her face. Smile.
"Wake up Becky, the bet," I whisper yelled.
Her face widen in realisation. Instead of me dragging her, she was dragging me, my legs ain't touching the ground. Who would have thought she was a dummy a while ago?
We got to class, Becky did a brief scan of the place to see if they are here already. No traces of them
I screamed internally. I'm free.
And so, we took our sits, eyes glued to the door for their arrival.
"They are so going to pull that prank," Becky smirked in victory.
Prank!
Not long after we sat down, my twin and his friends showed their beautiful faces. Gaining attention from the girls.
His long brown hair bouncing and blowing on his shoulders as he moved. He wore a brown leather jacket, black T-shirt on a dark brown jean matched with a nice Nike shoes. A black ray bans stuck in his hair and do not forget the trademark smirk.
He dumps himself in the chair beside me, his friends taking their sits too.
He raises two fingers and shakes them in the air as a sign of acknowledgment."Say hello to big bro," he smirked.
Holy! I rolled my eyes.
Then, watched out for the arrival of my friends but they are no where near coming... It's more than two minutes since we arrived here.
No doubt about our victory but I value my friends more than a stupid bet.
Class starts in twenty and we all agreed to get to school early today, what is taking them so long. The two of them get to school at the same time considering the fact that Chloe lives with her Aunt and Uncle, Shawn's parent.
