Richard's POV

"Blah blah blah!" Julia mutters after realizing I wasn't listening anymore. "You are unbearable Richard." She grits, a little annoyed.

I smile. "But I heard you the first 'you are unbearable Richard'." She rolled her eyes and huffs. It's true, she has said the same thing to me over three times in two minutes.

I'm sorry, I myself am not concentrating actually because a lot has been on my mind.

"Okay, whatever." She resigns and lean back on the wall. Her hands are folded, she wasn't looking at me then she keeps murmuring. It's like bees were set loose in here.

"Angry huh?" No reply. She started to play with her phone.

She wants ice cream and wants us to walk all the way down to the parlor. I'm as lazy as tortoise now. And I've been trying to explain to her that we should wait until three when we'll be off to the gym since today is Wednesday. We can just grab it on our way and zoom off.

But she wants it now.

And aside being lazy, something has been bothering me and I don't know what to do.

Her murmuring hasn't stop either.

"Impossible girl." I mutter to myself, chewing potato chips and gulped down my coke frustrated at myself. I went to seat beside her.

"Cmon Kitten, it's almost three. Please." I begged and pout. "I know you are craving ice cream now but can you please hold on till three." If I could stall her a little more for ten minutes out of the remaining fifteen minutes, then we're good.

"Richard please, see it's still fifteen minutes away." She eyed the wall clock angrily. "Okay, we'll go on bike." She said. "How about that?"

Julia isn't relenting anytime soon. So, I'm the one resigning to this.

I smiled at her, though it isn't reaching my cheeks or eyes, I still manage to give her a smile. Then wobbly, I got up. Julia noticed my movement, I knew because I saw her watching me instead of getting up from her seat.

"You okay Richard?" She asked?

"Hmmn." I nod and you know it is an insincere nod.

"No, you are not." She counters, her eyes roaming over my face.

"I'm good Kitten. Just a bit lazy." I flail my hands and chuckle. "Let me just get my bag and we will head out."

Without waiting for her reply, I skip up the stairs, took my duffel bag and rushed down. I also handed her one of my sunglasses since she forgot to bring one from home. I took it to school in case she forgets to bring hers which she did.

Only yesterday, I asked her twin to bring her over and they both totally forgot sunglasses. And now, it's like our uniform.

Reasons being that we don't know who is out there waiting to take pictures. It's a precaution process.

Back to now...

Maybe heading out and seating at an ice cream parlor for a few minutes will help calm my head. It's a mere thought.

In no time we reached and ordered for raspberry ripple each. Once we settled at a corner, I took a spoonful of my ice cream and look out.

Nothing seem to put my mind at rest. I'm having too many doubts about contacting my Dad.
