Sooo this is my first wattpad story, and its not that great, but I keep updating because you guys really want me to, so it must be good! I'm gonna go now...

Enjoy!!

I woke up in a pile of rubble and debris. I stumbled to my feet, my legs a bit shaky.

“Where am I?" I murmured, looking around. It looked like the inside of an abandoned opera house, beautiful and worn down. I crept around to the edge of the balcony that I was standing on. I looked down, and I sucked in my breath. I couldn't believe what I saw. A man was down there, tied to a chair, slumped over in his seat. I went into panic mode, and I paced the floor. A million thoughts raced through my mind. Who is that man? How did I get here? They were all questions I couldn't answer.

I heard the click of a gun and felt the barrel of the gun on the back of my head. I instantly froze.

“Wha-what do you want from me?" I choked out in a whisper. The man didn't answer. There was no doubt in my mind that it was the same man who broke into my apartment earlier that day.

“Go." He urged, nudging me with his gun. The gun guided me to the floor below us. I silently obeyed.

There was a knife on the table, the same knife that the man had in my apartment. He picked it up, twirled it with his other hand, and handed it to me, the gun still aimed at my head.

“This man must die." He said, nodding towards the unconscious man.

“Why?" I asked. “And why do I care?" The intimidation I'd felt before melted away. The man let out an exasperated sigh.

“Because he was part of a secret gambling organization, and he went and told the police. We have rules. If you betray the organization, you are put to death."

“And you need me because...?" I ask, completely uninterested.

“You have to kill him." He rolled his eyes.

“Why do I have to do it?!" I was unconvinced by his motives.

“Because if I do it, I'll get in trouble." His voice trembled with irritation, his knuckes turning white as he gripped the handle of the gun.

“If I do it, then I'll get in trouble!"

“If you don't, then I'll blow your brains out!" He yelled, menacingly. I gasped at his outburst, not knowing what to do. I knew that if anything happened to the poor man, I could land myself in jail. If I didn't kill him, I'd be nothing more than a lifeless lump on the ground.

...Decisions, decisions…
