I reluctantly took the knife from the hooded man, my hand shaking vigorously.
I know, really stupid decision.
But I knew that either way, somebody was gonna die.
And I did not want that person to be me.
My knees wobbled and shook, and I nearly toppled over. My heart pounded in my ears. My head throbbed with fear. Every step I took felt heavier than the last.
“I'm so sorry..." I told the unconscious man, tears pooling in my eyes. And then it was over. Just like that.
