Being a woman in today's society is  hard. The highest compliment we can possibly recieve is that we are "pretty" and what kind of compliment is that? pretty? what about strong?extraordinary? brilliant? passionate? i want to hear that my mind could change this world, that i could make a difference. let's talk about the goodness in my heart,or my thoughts at 3 AM or tell me that i'm inspiring. let's talk about anything besides how i should change few things about me or how i should grow up. tell me how i showed up in your dream  and that i'm making an impact on your life. don't tell me that i really have filled out since the last time you saw me, in a good way of course. tell me i'm a light in this dark world. tell me anything but please don't tell me that i'm pretty like it's the highest compliment i could recieve.
i am pure..i am deep..i am brilliant..i am extraordinary . how dare you demean my worth by thinking pretty is the best thing i will be? i am so much more than that shallow word❤
