I chug the last of my mountain dew, trying to get her intoxicating taste out of my mouth. It was driving me crazy.
I watch as she throws one of Keaton's curly fries at him for stealing her smoothie, "Give it back jerkface!"
He smirks, "Give me one good reason and maybe I'll give it back to you."
She sits there for a second and then grins wickedly, "I almost drowned today and my throat is still scratchy. So give me my damn smoothie back."
His eyes widen and he hands it back and I laugh at his expression, "I'm sorry," he mutters.
She laughs, "It doesn't really hurt anymore but seriously I love my smoothies. You don't steal them from me unless you want your balls chopped off."
Carmen giggles, "See I told you a long time ago not to mess with Skylar."
Skylar nods, "I'm a tough cookie."
I glare at my phone as it starts to ring, "Hello?"
Liam I already alerted your father, but we smelled a rogue on the edge of our property. I need you to find Blake and talk to him. His mom said he doesn't have his cell phone with him at the fair.
"Alright fine. Is it a rogue that's been here before or is it just sniffing around?"
It's unfamiliar. I can't tell you more than that. We're having a pack meeting tomorrow at lunch time.
I groan, "Alright. I'll tell the guys. Thanks Mr. Vega."
The connection goes dead and Keaton mutters, "Rogues again?"
I shake my head, "It's just one. I'm not aloud to know more which means it's something they've been hiding from us. There's a pack meeting at noon tomorrow. Everyone is coming. I have to go find Blake and tell him about the rogue."
Keaton nods, "Take Skylar with you, he'll behave that way. I'll take Carmen and we'll find the guys. I don't think we should leave the girls alone."
I nod, "You're right, we shouldn't."
Carmen get's up and follows him away and I look over at Skylar who sits there chewing on her lip.
"Sky what's wrong?"
She shakes her head, "Nothing, just thinking. Let's go find Blake."
A minute later we're walking past all the games and heading toward the barns to look for him when I see him talking to some brunette girl.
"Oh Blaaaakkkee," Skylar sing-songs.
He turns his head and his eyes settle directly on her for a moment. He turns back to the brunette and says something to her that makes her pout and stomp off.
He walks over to Skylar and says, "Hey my little hottie. What's up?"
A growl rumbles through my chest and his eyes snap up settling on me.
He smirks, "Sorry Liam. Is this one yours?"
Skylar scowls, "I'm not anybody's you idiot."
"I told you to stop screwing around with the girls in my pack Blake."
He shrugs, "You weren't here and she was very willing."
I grind my teeth and shake my head to clear the wolf from my eyes, "I'm not here to talk about that. I got a call from my Beta. There's been a rogue spotting on the property line."
He narrows his eyes getting into business, "Rogue or rogues?"
"Rogue. Just one. They can't tell if he was just sniffing around or if he's here for something."
