One month later...

September 7th

"Skylar slow down!"

I laugh as I ran ahead of him, the nice breeze hitting my face, "You gotta catch me!" I yell.

Cam pounces on me, sending us rolling through the front yard at the pack house. When we finally stop rolling he's straddeling me, "Got you," he teases tickeling my stomach.

I squeal and kick my legs, but it's no use. Cam is stronger than me, a lot stronger. His breath tickles my skin as he leans in, eyes full of mischief as he pins my hands above my head, "I like this postion," he murmurs.

I gulp, my mouth dry as he gazes down at me, I didn't have a wolf to yell at me for what I knew was wrong. She hadn't spoken to me in a month, "I do too," I sigh.

He brushes his nose along my jaw earning a deep sigh from me as I try to move my hips to get closer to his body. He chuckles and nips at my jaw, "Anxious little thing huh?"

"Shut up," I mumble nipping at his own jaw.

He leans back down so his lips are above mine and he brushes a strand of hair behind my ear, before leaning in. His lips press into mine, and I only resist for a moment before I let his tongue slide into my mouth. As he deepens the kiss the air becomes hotter, like fire grazing my skin. I moan into his mouth as his fingers trail up my shirt.

The sound of laugher is the only thing that breaks us apart. Cam stares at me for a moment wide eyed and breathing hard before we turn our heads to see Veronica and Carmen heading into the house for the party. Giggling and drunk, oblivious to our display.

I look up at the porch and see a shadow move around, I don't watch to see where they go because of Cam's voice, "Sky...I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry."

I gulp and shake my head, feeling dizzy, "It's fine. It's not your fault."

He rolls off of me and stands up, offering his hand. I take it, letting him pull me up off the ground. We head inside from there and once in the door we head our seperate ways, me with the excuse of a drink, him with the excuse of a game of pool.

I end up taking just a wine cooler and heading for the porch. I just wanted to clear my head and enjoy the weather.

So much had changed in the last month. Toby and Bethany had gone back to school a week after the fight. I assumed they were together. I wasn't really sure.

Veronica had stopped talking to me because of Liam. She thought it was stupid that we wouldn't speak to eachother and she constantly pointed out that he was my Alpha and as long as we were in a pack together and I was rightfully a Beta of the pack we would have to speak. I constantly pointed out that I had another pack to turn to if I wanted to leave.

I was the one who wouldn't speak to Carmen. Veronica seemed to be the only one who had forgiven her besides my brother. They were working on things. She was staying at her house and Cam was staying in the pack house. Cam couldn't even look at her without wanting to run. He was that mad. Plus he wasn't speaking to his own Mate, Veronica. He couldn't believe that she had forgiven Carmen.

I stroll inside after awhile to get another drink. As I pass the stairs heading to the kitchen I bump into Liam walking down the stairs with the new pack slut. Her name was Kamantha and she was sixteen. A year younger than us.

Liam's eyes widen when he sees me and I shake my head at him in disgust, but when I go to move around him I freeze from the sent of Mated wolves.

I knew Kendall and Bree had fully Mated the week before school had started as well as Micah and Jemma. That left either Veronica and Cam or Jay and Carmen. I turn around slowly and find Carmen hanging off Jay.
