I looked back and my eyes made contact with his crystal blue ones. "I missed you." I quickly got in my car and sped off. "No! No! No!" I picked up my phone and called Riley. "Why are you calling me right now?" He sounded worried, but curious. "Riley, stay where you are! Please, don't leave your coach's sight. I'm on my way!" "Please be careful." I hung up and got closer to his school. I looked in my rear view mirror and noticed a black car creeping up behind me. I panicked and called Kevin. "Kevin! I need your help right now! He's here. Right now, I'm at Riley's school!" "How did he find you?" I parked in front of Riley's school and ran to the football field. "I think Ryan told him! I'm scared out of my mind!" "Okay, calm down. Just tell Coach Robeson and I'm sure he'll keep you safe until I get there." I sighed and stopped by the gate. "I love you, Kevin. Get here safely." "I love you too, Adriana." I hung up and jogged over to Robeson. "Help! You've gotta help!" He wrapped his arms around me and walked me to his office. "What's going on!?" "My-my-Aaron is here." His made a straight face and squat beside me. "Stay put. I'm gonna end practice and keep them in my sight. I'm gonna call the cops. Stay calm." Aaron walked past the window and stared at me. My cry got caught up in my throat and I clutched Coach Robeson's arm. He looked back and ran outside. I followed him and he had Aaron pinned to the ground. "Riley! Come here!" He sprinted to me and hugged me tightly. "Are you okay?" I placed my hands on both sides of his face. He nodded and hugged me again. The rest of the boys walked in the locker room and Riley hesitated, but quickly followed them. The police arrived with Kevin closely pursuing them. "Are you okay, Adriana!?" He squat down in front of me and rubbed my arms. I nodded my head and wiped the tears away. "I thought he was gonna hurt my Riley. I was terrified." He nodded and looked back as the cops took that devil away. "He's not gonna hurt you anymore. Don't worry." He looked back and smiled evilly. I shuddered and stood up slowly. "This is not gonna be our last encounter, princess!" Kevin looked back and shook his head. "Let's get you back inside." A cop approached me and placed his hand on my back. Riley held the door open for me and gave me a small smile. "Are you Riley Valentine?" He nodded and followed us to Robeson's office. "Well, you might have saved her life by calling us." I smiled at Riley and hugged him tightly. "I love you, Riley." "I love you too, Adriana."

I picked up my phone and called Joe. "Hey! My flight hasn't boarded yet, so I have time to talk." "Joe, something terrible has happened." "What's wrong!?" "Aaron found me. He tried to get me, but Coach Robeson stopped him." "Where are you now?" "I'm still at Riley's school. I'm okay now, but I'm still a little shaky." He sighed and grunted. "I'm on my way." "No! Go to Arizona! I can wait until Wednesday. I'll be okay." I heard a car door slam and a man talking in the background. "Saint Petersburg High School! Hurry up!" "Joe, baby, I'm fine." "I don't care. That psychopath tried to hurt you. I don't like that at all." He sounded so cold and livid I was scared for Aaron. "I'll just call and tell Stephanie that I have to take care of a family emergency. She'll understand. I know the guys can take over and handle our business." I sighed and closed my eyes. I'm glad I'm alone right now. I just need to breathe after what just happened. "If you get in trouble, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you." "Don't worry about it, baby. Everything will be okay." I exhaled sharply and shook my head. "I'm already here. I'll see you in a couple of seconds." I smiled and stood up. "Come around the back. Just tell the cops that you're here to see me." I heard the door close and people in the background. He hung up and I tucked my phone back into my pocket. He ran in the office and scooped me up into his arms. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. I should be protecting you." "It's not your fault, baby. It's okay." He shook his head and kissed my cheek. "No, it's okay. I'm staying with you for the rest of the week." I pulled back and shook my head. "No! I'll be fine! Go to work, Joseph." He kissed my forehead and ran his hand through my hair. We sat down and cuddled on the floor. "I love you so much, baby. Don't scare me like that."

"I'm staying with you and Riley. End of discussion." He smiled and I kissed his lips. "You're so argumentative, Adriana! Damn!" A cop came in to talk to me and Joe ran his hand through my hair. "Are you ready to talk? It's okay if you need more time to yourself." I smiled weakly and shook my head. "No, I'm ready!" He smiled softly and sat down. "When we put him in the back of the car, he was shouting grotesque things about you. How long has he been stalking you?" "St-stalking me? I don't-I have no clue." "He said something about you and some guy named Ryan. He threatened to kill him and a guy named Joseph." I shook my head frantically and looked at Joe. "No! Please, keep Ryan and Joe safe!" I wrapped my arms around Joe and felt my eyes start to well up with tears. "I'm Joseph, we're supposed to get married next year. She's had a rough time as of lately and he's a very dangerous guy." I pulled back and wiped my eyes. "He almost killed my mom." I looked up at Joe and and he kissed my forehead. "How does he know you two?" I took a deep breath and looked at the cop. "He's my father. Aaron Valentine."
