1.Too cheesy for me

DISCLAIMER: The story begins with Hailey slüt shaming and it's super annoying but it was important for the plot to show character development in the end. Try putting o with it but I promise that I hate slüt shaming and I do not, personally, slüt shame either. Thanks and continue:

Stories don't really begin. We don't know when ours does. Does it begin when we're born? Or when we truly live? Or are our lives just a collage of stories? There are so many more questions. Are our stories written by us? By 'God'? Circumstances? We don't really know the answer.

But if I must start my story, I'll start it with a normal day at Rosewood High. You know, fitting into your stereotype of being a Nerd harassed by a Plastic. That's how things are supposed to be. That's how they've been for the past three years.

Before I joined this school, I lived. Now I just survive. I am not a very antisocial person but after the multiple things that happened, I guess I got a little depressed. Now, I have two friends who are hopelessly in love with each other and completely oblivious to each other's feelings.

And me? I just sit quietly and eat quietly and study quietly and just...you get the idea. I'm not even a quiet person. At least, I wasn't. I used to be outgoing and crazy. And every day, as I stab the tasteless mac n cheese our school deems as food, I wonder who I am. Whether I still am that person or whether I've changed. Whether I was the real me or whether I am.

Am I confusing you? I probably am. I guess I do zone out sometimes. Even in my own thoughts. So, back to the present. I was sitting at my normal table with my best friend, Selena and then she joins me without any invitation, at that, and starts making out with her boyfriend. "Hey Hailey!" *insert sexual moan* "I hope that you're not too jealous" * insert some more inappropriate noises* " I know that Zac prefers me to you, but no hard feelings, right?" She broke away from the kiss and dumped my mac and cheese onto my top. Then, she went back to eating my ex boyfriends face on my table. Yeah, we're besties.

Selena accompanied me to the girls bathroom. Ignoring the sniffling coming from a stall, I began to try and fix my self and get that cheese off.  I know I should have stood up for myself, but it still hurts. A week back, I broke up with my boyfriend Zac after I saw him making out with Lana. I don't remember much, just waking up in Selena's house, with a text from Zac saying he was sorry but he agrees that we should break up.

"You shouldn't let that bitch do stuff like this" Selena said angrily. "You should get her back. She's been a so called queen bee for too long."
"Sel, I totally agree but, don't you think it's a bit impossible? She's the one with her perfect life and popularity and everyone thinks that I'm the shy girl who's been heartbroken too many times. You and Alec are my only friends. There's no one else at this goddamned school who likes me more than her. Even Zac.." my voice broke.

Selena silently comforted me as she supplied me with some makeup to fix myself up.
"Hailey? Did you love Zac?"she asked after a while.
"No. I haven't loved anyone after Reece broke my heart."

The background snuffling suddenly stopped. A girl with make up running down her face came and as she left she said "Hailey, she's a bitch. You don't know me but I hope you know that I prefer you to that slut any day. She stole my boyfriend. " she finished, with a sad smile, leaving Selena and me surprised  and touched.
And this, people is why I will never fall in love again.
