I rolled out of bed with the mildest hangover. Well, if i slept for a while then the hangover would go away on its own. I went right back into bed and woke up at around one. The first thing I saw was <quick a/n saw was is a palindrome how cool palindromes rock> glitter.Rainbow glitter. What the fuck?
It was just lying there on my floor. I went towards it and realised that it was actually an envelope that looked like a glitter spill. I opened the envelope to find a neat slip of paper with some writing on it in American Typewriter font which was my favourite font.
It said-" don't be a beach - t"
T for Tyler, I guessed. It was either Tyler or Tiana, who was with me in Calculus like two years ago. And I doubted she'd send the note. I wracked my brains for a second but then it came to me. The ice cream shop at the beach where he made all those dumb puns. I almost took off immediately but then realised that that would lead to Bianca being alone.
"Hey, B! I need to go out. Wanna come with?"
"Where're you going?" she called out.
"Some kind of treasure hunt thingy I think," I called back.
"Okay. Let's go," she said, panting as she came to my room. We drove to the beach where we found the shop.
"So, who wrote the clues?" Bianca asked.
"Let's find out," I replied, going into the shop and smiling at the girl there.
"Hey, are you Hailey?" he asked.
"Yeah, how'd you know?"
"This guy asked me to give this to you. It's adorable. He was blushing so much. You've got yourself a keep, Hailey."
"I don't have a boyfriend," I said, confused.
"Well you have someone who wants to," she replied.
"Doubt it but thanks," I said, opening the next envelope. This slip read-"we were staying in paris/to get away from your parents - t"
"Oh, so it is Tyler," Bianca said.
"I guess."
"Does he want you to go to Paris now?" she asked me, confused.
"No. I think I once told him about my Paris Plan. The question is, where?"
"Maybe when the song was playing?"
"His car?"
"So where is it?"
"I don't know? Some where around here. Let's check the parking," I suggested, adrenaline rushing through my veins. It was pretty exciting, to be honest, the mystery and curiosity.
"There, found it. I think," I said. I began to look for an envelope somewhere near the car.
"Get the fuck away from my car!" a deep voice said. I froze and turned around to see this scary tall dude.
"Shit! Sorry! I thought it was my friends," I explained and went to a similar car. Dammit, I should have known his car number. Finally, two cars and a pissed off old lady who threatened us with her cane and a girl who nearly threw her mascara at us because she thought we were messing with her car, we found a black envelope.
In that envelope was a slip of paper reading-"badass princess much? - t"
This one I got immediately. It was the zip lining place he took me too after he realised I wasn't such a good girl.
"Where's this one?" Bianca asked, excitement colouring her voice.
"Zip lining place," I muttered, a little pink.
