Well since Jaune is the 'ladykiller', he's flirted and therefore been paired with a lot of girls. Weis was the first girl he was hitting on and had been risking his legs for like the time when she was falling from a Grimm and he jumped from a branch to save her. Okie, there was slow-motion there but it wasn't a romantic moment. What's the word...awkward?
