This is canon or not depending on how the fans views their close relationship. It's either love akin to siblings or romantically speaking.
Enough said, these two had been together for a long long time and can never be separated ever! Ever seen one without the other? They're everywhere together! Except for the bathroom of course.
I'm not the only one who wants to see their sleeping positions or where they sleep because that will reveal the answers to their relationship. The rooms are cramped remember? (Or was it just RWBY's room?) And I only saw two beds when their bedroom was used as setting. So..maybe Ten and Nora shared a bed while Jaune and Pyrah shared theirs but in the later episodes, their room was actually pretty wide.
These two are always look out for one another and they do everything together so not much argument here. If it wasn't Pyrah who was sent the single battles, it would have been Nora but no way on earth is that happening.
