After diner you and Draco went to the astronomy tower. "Zabini was in a mood tonight, don't you think?" You asked him after you both sat down at the top. Draco nodded and looked up at the sky. You both stared at the stars for a while, taking it all in. "I really meant what I said earlier," "Mhmm." You said, still staring at the stars, "I meant us sticking together." "Yeah, I know." You said, acting uninterested. "(Y/N), I have a proposition to make." You looked over at him with a concerned look. "That is?" He looked at you for a moment before looking back up at the stars. "Now it's only in front of everyone, kind of like a cover up of what's really going on." He paused looking at you again. "Well, I know this isn't going to be easy. Hell, it's not even easy for me to ask but-" "Sure." You said, not wanting to hear the rest of what he was going to ask. "You didn't even hear the rest of what I was asking." He said, you turned to look at the stars. "I know what you were going to ask, and to make the future easier, I'll comply." Draco smiled. After a few moments you looked back over to him. He was still staring at you, "What's wrong?" Draco chuckled, "You've never agreed to anything I've asked before." You giggled, "Surprised?" "Honored actually." He said, which surprised you. You both laughed, "So what exactly is this?" You asked after a few moments of laughing. "It's a contract." You nodded, "Conditions?" He sighed, "Okay, you're going to be my second in command. One because you scare people and you can get stuff done easier than my other two rats. Secondly, the rest of the death eaters need to know that you're on board. They think you're going to be a defect, which you are but they don't need to know it just yet." You smiled at him, "However, you can't openly hangout with with that little gryffindor trio you've become close with these past two years." You frowned, you knew there was something up but you didn't think it would be that. "I didn't think you'd ask me that, but you're right. They need to know where my allegiance is, and it's with the Dark Lord." You winked at Draco. You both laughed, "Don't let them know, and when they ask. Tell them where you are in the whole matter. Put on a show for everyone to see, and they will think the Prophecy is being fulfilled. It will be the greatest thing to happen to us." Draco said gloriously, you laughed at him. "Will be the best performance ever." You said, making both of you laugh. "Our future is in our own hands, now."
"The prophecy is foretold, you and a boy born on the same day. Shall serve someone who is mixed with dark deeds, and become someone the man trusts very much. You and the boy shall be together in the end, no matter what the outcome of the war is, and hold up the man's dark deeds until you can pass it on to someone else."
You woke up, the sheets wrapped all around you. You quickly got up and got ready, trying to push the dream to the back of your mind. As soon as you were ready you went into the common room and met up with Draco and his crew. "Alright everyone, meet (Y/N)." Everyone looked at Draco like he was crazy, "We've already met (Y?N)," Pansy snarled, you glared at her and she shrunk. "However this is the new (Y/N), my second in command." Draco said smiling wide. Pansy huffed and crossed her arms. "Glad it wasn't Pansy," Blaise said, earning a whine from Pansy. "Pansy, shut up." You said, Pansy glared at you, but didn't say anything. Draco smirked, "I've made a good choice," and with that the group went to the dining hall.
It's been three weeks since you've made the contract with Draco, neither Harry, hermione, or Ron has talked to you since. "They must understand the circumstances," you thought to yourself. It made you sad, but you have to stick through it. It was almost time for christmas break and you were asked to stay here on account of a business trip keeping the family away from celebrating. You didn't mind, Draco has to stay too so it won't be too bad. "So, what are your plans for break?" Draco asked as he sat down next to you on the common room couch. "Probably be bored to death, but I have some loose ends to tie up so I might finish that, you?" Draco shrugged, "Pansy." You giggled. He shot you a glare which made you giggle some more. "So, fancy Pansy?" You asked, trying to not to laugh, Draco smirked making you laugh. "I fancy someone else actually. But at the moment I'm bored and she gives me attention." You giggled, "Malfoy needs attention?" You giggled more, Draco laughed. "I do sometimes, so what's this stuff you got to do?" Draco asked trying to change the subject. "Out of all the girls that are possibly into you, why choose Pansy?" You asked, trying to redirect the topic. He sighed, "Guess we don't need to talk about a few things." You laughed, "Guess not."
