When everyone was starting to get up you quickly went to your room and got your things, running to get ready. You met the Draco and the rest of the crew in the dining hall. "Pansy scoot over," You said behind Pansy who was sitting rather close to Draco. He smiled at you, "We saved you a seat right there." she pointed across the table, "You must be mistaken Pansy, that's your seat. Or would you like to be moved to the garbage where you seem to belong." You smiled as she looked up at you. She glared at you, "What's so important that I have to move from my boyfriend?" She asked, you raised your eyebrow and looked over at Draco. Zabini and the rest of them stared silently at the altercation. Draco winked at you and that's all he had to do. "Pansy, if you don't get up and move, you will be sorry. Why would he be dating you anyways? He was in my room last night, if I can remember correctly." You stood there smiling at her. She huffed and looked at Draco, "Just because you went to the dark side doesn't mean you can control us all, he isn't back yet." She said getting up, you cocked your head at her and she went to repeat herself. "I said-" You Punched her in the mouth, knocking her back, "I heard what you said. Don't forget pig, know your place before I show you your place. Now move, Parkinson." You finished, she and everyone around was shocked at what just happened. When you sat down everyone was staring at you. "What?" You said looking at everyone's confused faces. "Getting a little over protective of Draco?" Zabini said slightly hitting your shoulder, you smirked. "She back talked me, she needs to know where she falls. It's under me, well under all of you actually." You said, looking at the food. You felt sick to your stomach but grabbed a little bit of everything, trying to make everything seem okay. Draco kept an eye on you while you picked at your plate. "You aren't feeling well, are you?" Draco whispered to you, you smiled at Zabini's joke, "I'm fine." Draco grunted which led you to think that he didn't believe you. "We need to talk." Draco said, you smiled and excused yourself from the group and went to the girls bathroom. After a few minutes Draco finally entered. "What did you need to talk about?" You asked, crossing your arms. Draco walked up to you, "That was quite rude." He said, moving closer in front of you. "Well it was quite rude for her to say you were her boyfriend when she knows what exactly is going on. Did you tell her about what happened this summer?" You asked accusingly, Draco looked at you in surprise. "Why would you think that? (Y/N), everyone that has or had ties with Voldemort knows about it, about what is going to happen. It's the prophecy, reeber?" He said putting his hands on your shoulders. You stared him and smiled, "What is it that you really want to talk about?" He stared at you for a moment before letting go, "Maybe that's all I wanted to talk about," He smiled. You laughed at him, "No it's not. I know you. That's not what you want to talk about."
Draco stared at you intently, thinking about what he was going to say next. He knew you, and he knew if he said the wrong thing it could end unpleasantly. "How are you sleeping?" He asked, moving to stand next to you. You sighed, "Pretty good actually, worrying about my wellbeing? That's unlike you Malfoy." He flinched at his last name, it went unnoticed by you. "How's the food? I personally think it's really good. Especially this time of the year." He said,  turning towards you with a grin. You smiled at him and lied, "I love it, not a big breakfast eater though." He nodded, and stood there thinking again. "(Y/N), why are you lying?" He said after a few moments of silence. You stood there quietly, puzzled at his statement. He was staring into your (E/C) eyes, trying look into your thoughts. "I'm not lying," you said quietly. He turned away from you and went to walk towards the door, before he reached the door he stopped. "I know you stay up, I know you haven't slept for days, probably these past two weeks. I know you have barely ate. I watch you, closely for a matter of fact. We practically go everywhere together unless Pansy is involved. Don't lie." You hung your head down in shame, "Come on, we should get back before they start to wonder." You walked to him and he grabbed your hand softly and opened the door. You both walked back to the dining hall and said not a word to one another for the rest of the meal.
It was time to acknowledge the contestants for the Triwizard tournament. You and Draco sat together silently while the rest of the group bickered and placed bets on who would compete. While you were staring at the crowd you caught someone staring back at you. When you saw who it was you gave a small nod in their direction, it was your old friends. Hermione, Harry, and Ron and like always they were together. Harry gave a faint smile while Hermione waved. You looked away, trying not to miss your memories with the three when Dumbledore stepped up. While Dumbledore was speaking about the tournament you couldn't help to look at Draco. He was staring intently at who was talking and you smiled at him. He looked pure, you frowned when you remembered what was going to happen. "Draco," You whispered. His eyes shifted to yours and he gave a slight smile and brought his hand up to yours. "Yes?" He raised his eyebrow and went back to looking at the speaker. "I'm sorry," he squeezed your hand and made eye contact with you again. "For?" "Lying." He mouthed a O and went back to watching the wizards walk up, rubbing your hand with his thumb. When the students were picked everyone went to talk about who was going to win. Draco moved closer to you and started talking with the rest of the group about who might win. You were laughing at what Blaise said when the whole room fell quiet, you all turned to see Dumbledore walking towards the flame. The flame shot out another contestant, "Harry Potter." Dumbledore said, you searched the room for the familiar face. "Harry Potter!" Dumbledore said louder this time, after a few moments Harry stumbled up to the front and followed the rest of the contestants. After a few moments Dumbledore dismissed everyone and the teachers disappeared one by one into the corridor to follow the contestants. You went to follow when Draco grabbed your hand, "Later, (Y/N)." He said staring into your eyes. You nodded and squeezed his hand, following him out of the room and down the hallway heading to the Slytherin common room. Once you both got the common room you both went to your room and shut the door, hoping no one saw you both together. Draco sat on your bed and you sat next to him. "If Pansy sees or hears that I'm in here she will be so mad." Draco said, chuckling softly. You gave a breathless laugh and nodded. "What do you think about your friend being in the tournament?" Draco asked, moving himself to the other side of the bed and laying down. You shrugged your shoulders, "Not sure." You said softly, he sighed and pulled your arm to lay down next to him. Once you were down to eye level you smiled at him, "Are you scared for Potter?" You frowned at him and he raised his eyebrow. "I haven't talked to Harry since last year, a lot of things has happened since then. I'm afraid, but not for him." You said quietly, Draco looked into your eyes and laid there in silence. "I'm sorry, (Y/N). I was joking, but forgot about the circumstances." Draco said, moving over and kissing your forehead. "You should get some rest," He said taking his robe off and laying back down. You nodded your head and got ready for bed, laying back down next to Draco. It felt like forever when Draco finally drifted off to sleep, leaving you to listen to his breathing and your thoughts about the upcoming events. You tried to fall asleep, but to no avail your eyes just wanted to stare at the shadows that reminded you of Bellatrix. You moved closer to Draco, hearing the wind blow outside, you almost heard the cackling of the crazy woman. You hid your eyes into Draco and he wrapped his arms around you, protecting you from the invisible spells Bellatrix was casting at you in your dreams. You were afraid, you were afraid and you were supposed to be the strongest out of them all. You were afraid, and then you wasn't afraid anymore and fell asleep next to Draco, dreaming of nothing but the darkness that was starting to feel like home.
