Who all knows about this plan?" Dumbledore asked, leaning across the desk. "Just me." He nodded, "Is Draco apart of your plan?" "He said he wanted to end the prophecy, so I suppose so. He told me he didn't like our outcome." "You two getting married, or serving the Dark Lord?" That caught you off guard, you weren't really prepared to answer that question since you both have never really talked about that subject. "Serving the Dark Lord, sir." You paused, giving him time to think. "We will serve him, for some time. However, we- I will do anything in my power to give information back to the resistance," You smiled softly at him. Dumbledore nodded, thinking of the many possible outcomes of your plan. "If you get caught, Voldemort will have no problem making an example of you." Dumbledore said, making you look down. "I have no problem with that, but if I do fail. At least I wouldn't die a death eater. A traitor to the Death Eaters." "A defective." Dumbledore corrected you. "And there's nothing wrong with being defective." He gave you another warm smile.
When you left Dumbledore's office you felt assured you weren't going to fail, and he was correct about changing the outcome of the Prophecy that you were born into. When you got to the slytherin common room Draco was on the couch reading a book. "I didn't know you read, Malfoy." Draco jumped a bit, causing you to laugh. "Shh, I don't want Pansy to come down here and bother me," He sat the book down. "Why isn't Pansy bothering you now?" You said, sitting beside him on the couch. "Because I told her I needed reading time." You giggled quietly at Draco's mischievous grin. "So, what took you so long?" Draco asked after a few minutes of silence. "I was asking Dumbledore some things." You were trying not to go into too much detail, Draco really didn't need to know what you seen and what you two were talking about. "What did you guys talk about?" Draco asked, picking his book back up. "Stuff he had in his office thingy, he had this thing called a pensieve where you could view memories. He also has hundreds of neat books that you won't find in the library. He said I could come and read some of them if I wished." You lied. Draco looked up at you and smiled, "That's great! Gives you something to do when you're not busy. Instead of getting in trouble you can read more and find out things for me." You nodded, trying to convince Draco. Which surprisingly didn't take too much effort. As Draco went back to reading, you sat there thinking about that evening's events. No wonder Snape kept you till almost the break of dawn, he was evaluating you. He wanted to see if his hypothesis, so to speak, was working. You smiled at yourself, "I am pretty smart." You sat with Draco for what seemed like 3 hours, until he got up and said goodnight. You smiled at him as he headed to his room. Eventually you went to your room after you watched the fire burn down to smouldering ashes.
It had been a few weeks since Christmas break. You've seen Dumbledore and Snape, separately of course, multiple times. You went to Dumbledore for more information and to read books for Draco. Snape asked whenever he had to for the Death Eaters, and also the resistance. As far as you know, he thinks you are actually going to become Voldemort's second in command. You are, just not entirely. It was a few weeks before finals and that's where you found yourself right in the middle of trouble. Ron!!" You all screamed as he was being pulled under the Whomping Willow. You ran after him, making it into the small hole will Harry and Hermione were being attacked by the flying branches. You didn't stop to wait for them, you went after Ron, hearing him scream for you guys as he was being dragged all the way down that hole. You followed the screams into a house, it was broken down and small. You seen Ron holding scabbers as he was huddle in the corner. "Ron, are you okay?" You asked him, he nodded his head and pointed to a door that was open. You looked down towards the floor, looking at the paw prints that turned into footprints, "Sirius?" You whispered, creeping into the doorway. It was empty, you backed away slowly and went to tend to Ron. After what seemed like forever, Harry and Hermione both showed up. "Ron!" They both ran to you two, "It's Sirius, Harry. He's here." You said, pointing your wand to the Creeping door that Sirius crept from behind. "Hello Harry," He was smiling creepily at you four. Ron whine as you stepped in front of him. Blocking his view as you stood behind Harry and Hermione. While Harry and Sirius were speaking, you noticed a shadow appear in adjoining room. "Stupefy!" You yelled as the shadow appeared into the room. It was Snape, "Good one. (Y/N)." Sirius said, laughing hysterically. You paused, looking at the crazy man. Before you could go and check on Snape, Professor Lupin walked in. "Now Sirius, don't get crazy." He said, trying to coax the man. Just then everyone was yelling, you were still trying to get to Snape before Sirius grabbed you. Knocking your wand out of your hand. "Let go of her." Harry said calmly. Your head was buzzing, "Just give me the rat." Sirius said, You were confused, you didn't hear any of the previous conversation. "Why?" Ron said, whining while doing so. "Because it isn't scabbers." You said softly, they all looked at you in confusion and also in relief. Sirius let go of you while you walked over to Ron. "May I please have the rat?" You asked him, he reluctantly gave it to you and you put scabbers down. Immediately spells were thrown at the rat, scared to death it ran. It almost got away until it changed into a revolting looking man. Remus and Sirius both picked him up and brought him over to the group. "He's the one that ratted on your parents, Harry. Not me." Then it dawned on you. "I've seen him at the meetings," You said. Quickly trying to escape out of the house and back into the tunnel. You ran fast, if Peter Pettigrew saw you, your plan would unravel at the seams. So you ran, leaving your friends to deal with the mess. Once you got up to the school, you stopped and looked over at the whomping willow. You turned away, making your way to Dumbledore's office. One you got there you went straight to the Pensieve and got out a vial, putting your memories in it and hiding it in a secret box Dumbledore gave you with the rest of the vials you had. "This is ridiculous," You said out loud. "What is?" Dumbledore's voice said causing you to jump. "I don't think I can do this." He looked at you with soft eyes. "No one asked you to, you can quit at any time." He said, turning away and walking out, leaving you to your thoughts.
