Camila's POV

I was putting finishing touches on my outfit and hair when I heard a faint knock on my door frame. Seeing as though my door was wide open, it was odd she still knocked but I've noticed Lauren is a very kind person and respects other's privacy.

"You can come in Lauren," I said rolling my eyes and smile formed on my lips. She walked in and stopped after only taking a few steps into the room. She just stood there and focused on my outfit intensely. Oh god, I knew I shouldn't have worn this outfit.

"I'm sorry, I should've worn something else, I just didn't know how to dress for this. I thought flannel and jeans was the classic outfit for these things. At least from what I've seen in movies and things-," I was rambling on as my nerves took over but not soon after Lauren put a stop to it.

"No, no Camila, you look great. I just didn't know you... you uh, owned jeans like those," she said, seeming flustered while her cheeks brightened with a shade of pink. What's wrong with my jeans? I mean, they're just the basic kind of jeans. Sure they're a little tight but that's because skinny jeans are my favorite.

"Well I didn't know there was a specific type of brand for jeans to wear for a hoe down," I said looking down at my legs and back up to meet her eyes.

"No, that's not what I meant, I just, you just, you look good. I'm sorry I don't know what I'm saying. Just... are you ready to go?" she said quickly, changing the subject. She seemed a lot more nervous lately and I didn't know why but it was kind of funny which was a mean thought, but just seeing her stumble in her sentences and take more L's than my last name was something you don't see very often, especially from the type of people I'd expect Lauren to fall under. Confident and not a pushover, but I guess I'm still figuring her out.

I realized I hadn't answered the question yet which made the girl in front of me search my face with confusion. "Yeah, I just finished. Are you sure you don't need me to change though?"

"I promise you look amazing. I just can't wait to go, you'll love it I promise."

With that we drove to town and all throughout the car ride she told me about how it's always a lot of fun and there's always new people there learning the steps so I shouldn't be nervous. Once we found a parking spot close to the place, we jumped out and made our way inside.

After Lauren held the door open for me, I stepped inside and took it all in, my mind soaking up it's atmosphere and surveying the crowd of people inside.

"I already love this place," I said while noticing the strung up lights along the ceiling and hanging from the sides of the walls so they were dangling over the dancers. They looked like stars on a clear night. The disco ball in the middle, reminded me of the moon and I immediately felt more comfortable.

"I know right, I knew you'd love it. Hey let's go over and get some drinks first and maybe I can introduce you to a few people," Lauren said while guiding me over to the long bar table along the back of the place.

"What'll you have ladies?" a man asked looking at us intently and smiling from ear to ear. Wow, he must really love his job.

"Just a Coors for me," the green eyed girl next to me exclaimed to the waiter over the music. "I'm sorry, I should've asked first, what would you like to drink?" she said looking back at me.

"Well I'm not much of an alcohol kind of girl but I'm definitely going to need something if I plan on not caring what others think while I try my best at dancing."

"You're not wrong, make that two Shaun," she said facing the bartender again.

"On it," he replied after setting down Lauren's drink.
