Lauren's POV

Oh god.

My breathing is definitely not regularly paced anymore, I should probably fix that. Wait, how does breathing work again?

Oh god.

My entire body is still numb just thinking about her.

I stared up at my ceiling from the safety of my own bed. I decided it was best to just skip brushing my teeth and washing my face for the night. Even though the thought of the germs kinda hurt me inside. Not the time Lauren, focus.

Why did this make me feel so flustered? It was just a person's back.

Yeah but it was her back.

Why does that matter, a back is a back.

Just trust me, this is different.

I hated it when my brain argues back and forth like this. One side of me is practically shouting "this is a big deal" and the other is looking strangely at the one before saying "yeah but why, you're being weird about this".

I tried to fall asleep seeing as how it was already 12:34 and I hadn't heard noise coming from the other room in a while signaling Camila has been asleep for a while now.

God what if she had heard me or turned around and saw me standing there?

Welp, there goes my brain again.

Would she have freaked out? Well duh, probably considering I was watching her undress. Would she have left the house and not continue to stay with me for the rest of the summer? God, how could I have been so stupid! I almost ruined something. Wait, but what was I ruining?

I shut my eyes to stop the internal conversations. Before I knew it, darkness took over my body and I was gone.

Camila's POV

"Good morning," I heard a soft voice say.

I turned around in my bed after feeling a hand on my shoulder, nudging me to wake up. As I was able to fully open my eyes, I was met with a tall, sparkly-eyed woman. Oh yeah, that's right, I wasn't living in a dorm anymore, I should get used to that. I smiled as it finally hit me that Lauren was standing next to my bed, looking down at me. I could see a slight smirk on her face which made me smile even more.

"You're a tough one to wake up huh?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah you're going to have to get used to that," I said still looking up at her.

"Well I made breakfast for you when you're ready to come down, but dress in some work clothes if you got some," she said starting to walk towards the door.

"Oh ok, thank you. Wait, am I going to need pants," I asked quickly so she'd hear me before leaving just yet.

"No, not for today. Plus it's pretty hot out there today."

"Alrighty then, sounds good farmer," I said in my best country accent.

She just turned back around seeing as she was just about to step out of the room and looked at me with her eyebrows ruffled together and a straight face. This made me nervous immediately. Oh god, did I go too far or something.

"That was offensive and what made it worse was the horrible accent. It'll need a lot of work before we can start introducing you to others or else you'll just become the laughing stock of the entire town," she said with her face forming a small smile which gave away the serious tone she was trying to give off.
