Capturing Them
Chapter Sixty Five
SangSomething tickling along the bridge of my nose has me blinking my eyes open and my hand raising to itch the tickle away. My hand is caught and engulfed into another hand and I sigh, feeling the callused fingers against my smooth one.
I blink a few more times, ridding the sleep in my eyes and getting them to focus. It takes me moment to realise that my head and is lifting and rising steadily and I frown, lifting my head and looking down at a t-shirt covered chest. My eyes go to my hand, still wrapped securely in a much larger warm one. Well manicured nails are the first thing I notice and I don't mean the kind of manicure with nail polish, just the ones that are trimmed and looked after.
I finally look up at the owner finding Owen looking at me with soft grey eyes and a small millimetre smile on his face. "When your asleep, you do this thing with your nose, scrunching it before wiggling it. Like a rabbit."
My cheeks heat but I can't help but smile. "You was watching me sleep?" I ask.
"When I woke up, you was sprawled across my chest, face tilted up and not far away from my own," he says. "I didn't want to wake you by getting up so I just decided to watch you sleep instead. I hope you didn't mind." He suddenly looks a little unsure, which is so not like Mr Blackbourne...Owen.
I shake my head, offering him a smile of reassurance. "No, but I am gonna have to return the favour at some point," I murmur.
He smiles wide, showing me his pearly white teeth. Since we've met, ive not seen a smile on him like this before. It makes my heart beat excellerate. "That's fine with me."
Shifting on my back has me tensing for a millisecond, quickly remembering Axel was also with his. His weight is on my back, arm tucked around my waist and I feel so secure and safe within his hold. Axel rolls his head on my upper back, where it had been resting between my shoulder blades.
I'm not sure how we got into the position of Owen being on his back, me sprawled across his chest and Axel sprawled across my back and honestly, I don't care. I like feeling this close to them, it causes my hormones to go crazy and my heart to expand in my chest, my feelings growing for them even more.
"What time is it?" Axel asks. "I took my watch of when I changed and left my phone down stairs."
"Just after six," Owen replies and I settle my head on his chest again, shuffling closer to him. This causes Axel to follow, keeping us all connected. "The others will be here soon so we can leave to go to the cabin."
Silence descends around us but it's not awkward. In fact it's nice and relaxing, so much so I could find myself getting used to this, to just laying here in bed with them like it's the most natural thing for us to do.
"Are you looking forward to the photo shoot, Sang?" Axel suddenly asks, breaking the silence. "Gabriel said he has loads of different ideas but wouldn't share what they are."
"You don't mind doing it?" I ask him and Owen, needing to hear this from them and then the rest of them later.
"Not at all," Owen answers. "Photography is something you are passionate about. You take pictures because they tell you a story. Am I right?" I nod my head yes. "Let someone else take the photos and capture your story."
I don't think he could have said it any better. In all honesty, I can't wait to see these pictures, I can't wait to see how they will turn out, what kind of story they're going to tell.
"I couldn't agree more with Owen," Axel adds. "Wherever your photography takes you, understand that we'll support you in every way."
"Thank you," I tell them.
