The night was dark and still as the other times I've roamed this very woods, wandering through the night searching for a prey to feast my fangs on.
Normally i don't get this thirsty but something happened today and I got really angry and I feed when I'm angry.
I could sense them before I saw them, curious teenagers roaming the woods hoping to score a few points for bravery among their pals, this was a really bad night to play such games.
I've always been one to play with my food and I quite enjoy the hunt more so I decided to tail them for a while
I can sense 2 bodies.... I feel a third one
2 guys and a girl...
The girl is begging the boys to turn back, her heart is racing, she is definitely scared... She seems to be the only one with her head on right
I feel the other boys heartbeats, they are as scared as she is but they shroud it in false bravado calling her a coward and telling her that she had nothing to fear
"If only they knew how wrong they were about that"
I walk in stealth, my feet barely making contact with the ground as I approach these humans, I have a better view of them
The girl is a brunette, with hazel eyes and pleasant features, she should keep better company in the future.
While the boys are rather dull looking with raven black hair, no matter they just serve to sate this hunger mixed with rage I feel at the moment.
In a flash, I moved and grabbed the bigger boy who bragged the most and separated him from the others.
His screams were loud and piercing my eardrums, "do they ever shut up" I thought in annoyance
After we were at a safe distance , I compelled him to be quiet and went ahead and had my fill of his blood
It tasted tingly, probably mixed with alcohol.... But that was good, it would give me the buzz I craved.
Tossing the body aside I went back for a 2nd helping
After I was done with the 2nd boy, I felt rather full and his blood was purer than the first.
I could still hear the girl screaming in fear mixed with confusion
"the poor girl is probably wondering what happened to her friends"
I decided I wouldn't hurt her
So I compelled them both to forget what happened and I healed their wounds and helped them make their way back to the girl.
I am not a monster after all
There's still something..... It's not much but it's something.
But in order to get my revenge, I would have kill that part of me as well.
I am Aiden, the avenger.
