~The Confrontation~

I woke up from my slumber with my eyes still heavy due to the fact that I wasn't able to get much rest for I was up all night pondering on the issue of the identity of the shadow....
I forced myself out of bed and into the shower to prepare for yet another day in the world of mundanes .

I went downstairs only to see that Reena was already up sipping coffee from her favorite mug.

"Its about time you woke up, I thought you died in there" she said while rolling her eyes.

"I'm afraid that's not possible for I am already dead" I replied with a smirk as I walked over to the freezer to have a drink from our reservoir of blood bags.

"So did Klaus tell you about his friend that rode into town"

"Yes he did" she replied with a slight frown on her perfect face

And...

"Well I don't know, but if he isn't causing any trouble to us I don't see why we have to go looking for his trouble "

"You must be joking right"
After all that's he done to us, you, most especially and you just want to ignore the fact that he is here right about the same moment we arrived!!
Don't you think that it just a little bit odd and too much of coincidence. I retorted in anger..

"Aidan I know your despise him, but we have to approach this with caution, we can't risk anymore losses" Reena said with a sad look on her face as she recalled an unpleasant memory.

"I can't lose you too"

"And you won't"

"Then promise me you won't do anything rash"

"I'm afraid I can't make such promises"

"Would you at least try not to start any trouble with him"

"As long as he does the same"

"I'ii be going to see him later in the day, Klaus has a few questions for him"

For the first time I was glad that Klaus was with Reena.

"Be safe"
I then held out her hand in mine and placed a lingering kiss upon her pale skin.

"Let me know how the meeting goes, as for now I must leave"

"Try not to blow your cover"

" I'll keep that in mind"
Then I decided to skate to school not bothering to wait for Reena for I was already late.

I arrived in school just in time before the bell rang indicating the start of the first lesson of the day which was math.

I didn't pay any attention during the class, I couldn't focus for my attention was torn between the events of this morning and the shadow but I didn't fail to notice Liv's presence as she bounded into class panting as if she ran a hundred mile race...

"Late as usual ms Steele"

I'm so sorry Mr parker, I had to stop to help a whole bunch of old people cross the street...this one lady even insisted that I drop her all the way to her house and I couldn't say no to a sweet old lady cus....."Enough!!!! " barked Mr parker interrupting her rather ridiculous story which was obviously a lie but since Mr parker didn't want to hear any more of it he just sent off to her seat and asked her to collect notes from her classmates after the class...
He also mentioned something about a quiz coming up next week then I completely zoned out after that, staring right at him but not hearing a single word he spoke....
It takes great practice to be able to completely shut out other voices in order to hear mine.

I didn't even realize the lesson was over until I heard two girls standing in front of me saying incoherent things as they giggled crazily....

"I'm sorry, is there something I can help you with"
