Chapter 11

“Wake up Nash!”

“…”

“Come on!”

“…”

“I'll eat all the bacon if you don't!”

“DON'T YOU DARE!” I shouted. Bolting up in bed. “Hahaha! Hurry up, aunt Mavis is cooking breakfast.”

I changed into a pair of jean shorts and a light blue T-shirt and my black combat boots. I walked to the dining room where uncle Zeref was drinking coffee and Luke was slumped over on the table looking at Aunt Mavis who was still cooking.

I sighed and sat next to Luke. Aunt Mavis placed our breakfast in front of us and we began to eat.

After eating our breakfast, me and Luke walked to the guild.

“Nashi-chan! I want you to meet someone!” Emily yelled. I walked over to them and I saw an unfamiliar face next to Emily. “Nashi-chan, I want you to meet my twin brother, Reiki!” he looked nothing alike to Emily. He has light blue hair and red eyes. “What's up?” he shook my hand. “Nothing much.” I said.

“He's a part of Storm's team. Along with Rose and your brother.” “Rose?” I asked. “She's Jeremy's younger sister.” “Oh, all of our siblings are on different teams huh?”

“It's weird, but I don't mind.” “Yeah, me neither.” a dark red haired girl came up to us. “I'm Rose, Jeremy's sister.” “Nashi. Luke's sister.” I said.

She looked about 15 and has dark red hair and dark brown eyes. She looks just like her mother.

“So, when did you and Luke arrive here?” she asked. “We actually just came yesterday.” I said. “Hey, I thought that the whole team goes on the mission, why was it only you and Reiki?” “Well, you know, Storm and Sylvia had the 'Twin sickness' two weeks ago.”

“Ugh, I hate when that happens. One time, Luke got sick on the day that we were supposed to go have a picnic and I got sick minutes after he sneezed. It's like a twin chain reaction.” I said while crossing my arms over my chest.

“Yup, since we needed the money, Storm and Syl said we could go.”

“Well, I should go. I've got to make sure Jeremy doesn't eat my strawberry cake. Bye!” she started running out the guild doors. “Strawberry cake?” I asked. “Her and Jeremy took after their mother over strawberry cake.” Reiki said.

“Hmm, do you wanna go on the job now?” Emily asked. I nodded, “Did you choose the mission?” she nodded. “We have to defeat a monster in a town called Aya. Apparently, the monster has been killing the villagers.”

“Let's go!” we walked out of the guild and headed for the train station.

“Hey Nashi?” I looked to Sophia on my left. “What's up?” I asked. “Is it okay if I sleep on your shoulder? I'm getting sleepy.” her eyes were dropping a bit. “Yeah, it's okay.” she nodded and leaned her head on my shoulder, falling asleep.

Emily was reading a book while Jeremy was looking out the window. It was almost noon. I brought a book in case I got bored. “Emily?” I asked, getting her attention. “Yes, Nashi-chan?” “Could you get my bag please? It up there.” I pointed to the little shelf for the luggage above our heads. “Okay” she stood up, for my bag and gave to me.

“Thanks Em.” I looked inside my bag and took out the book. I began reading my book for the remainder of the trip.

The train slowed to a stop and people began going out. “Hey Sophia.” I shook her a little. “Sophia, wake up.” I said a little louder. “Mm, huh?” she mumbled. She opened her eyes slowly before snapping her eyes wide open. “Oh! I'm sorry Nashi. Did I overslept?! Are we late?!” she panicked. I took ahold of her shoulders, stopping her. “It's ok Soph. The train stopped just a few minutes ago.”

She sighed in relief and we proceeded to exit the train.

“Wow. This place is very pretty.” I said in awe. “You got that right.” Jeremy said.

We walked to the client's house and knocked on the door. The door opened to show a man in his early fifties. “Hello sir, we're from Fairy Tail. We're here about the mission you sent?” Emily said.

“Can I see your guild marks first?” we showed him our guild marks. Mine on my hand, Emily's on her shoulder, Jeremy's on his arm, and Sophia's on her hand.

“Yes. Please come inside and I'll inform you on everything you should know.” he ushered us inside.

We sat on hoods couch and he sat on his chair in front of us. “About the mission, there has been a monster terrorizing our villagers. It comes out at night and attacks anyone who is outside. Some have even died. I need you to go and kill it.” he said.

“Do you know what this monster looks like? Or even a location on where he attacks people?” I asked. “From what the witnesses said, it was big, and very hairy. It has horns protruding from its head and has bloodshot eyes. And for the location, just be outside. He patrols the streets at night and if he finds somebody, he attacks them.” He said while cleaning his eyeglasses.

“It's almost sunset so we don't have that much time left. Thank you sir and we'll come back once the job is finished.” Jeremy said. We all stood up and walked to the door. “Be safe! The monster is really strong!” the man yelled while we were walking towards the center of town.

“Hmm, should we go to an inn?” Sophia asked. “Well, since the monster comes out at night, paying for the inn would be useless. We are leaving after we defeat this thing, right?” Emily asked. “I don't know Em. Maybe.” I shrugged my shoulders.

Sunset approached fast and soon it was nighttime. We were walking around the town was waiting for the monster to attack us.

After about an hour later, we heard a giant roar. We looked down the street to see abgigantic hairy beast that the old man perfectly described.

“Holy shit! He's huge!” I exclaimed. It wasn't just huge. It was massive! How in Mavis's name did he not break any of the buildings yet?!

“C'mon, let's lure him away from the village.” Emily said. We nodded and Jeremy ran to the monster while we ran out to the woods.

Once we were there, we got in our positions. “Crap, guys! He's coming this way!” Jeremy yelled while running at us, the monster hot on his trail.

I lit my fist on fire. “Let's do this!” I yelled. 'Hopefully I don't screw this up!'

The monster stopped and stood in front of us. Emily positioning her fingers to do her Solid Script magic. Sophia readying herself with her Sky Dragon Slayer magic. And Jeremy readying his sword and Heavenly Body Magic.

With one final look, we all charged at the monster.
