Will & Testament

Lucius's POV

Morning had shone in the room and I was leaning against the balcony doors, i had to burn all the clothes we wore the night before and still hadn't put on a shirt. I could feel my bloodlust itching for more to be shed and the desire to embrace my future queen and hold her bare skin against my own. To hear her voice trembling once more, the only restraint I had was my sweet child resting so calmly and peacefully next to her. I looked over at her once more and felt a soft smile form as Jade had rested her head against Lillian's and her arms held her in a protective motherly hold. I stepped away from the door and knelt at the edge of the bed gently grazing my fingers along her soft chubby cheeks. Her hair was definitely longer from the growth spurt and it wouldn't be long until she would begin to crawl or at least attempt to. Jade's eyes slowly opened and looked at me, a sleepy smile formed and she looked at lilliana. She kissed her head and our dear angel began to stir from the touching and caressing. Almost in a huff of annoyance she began sniffling and crying her little cheeks turning red. Jade lifted her up and held her to her chest rubbing her back and rocking her lightly. I couldn't help but chuckle as Lilly threw a fit for being woken up.

"I suppose I'm to blame, i couldn't help myself she was too precious."

"No i'm sure she was going to wake up soon anyway, are there any documents I need to look over today?"

"A few for the company, also you need to put in order your will and testament so that Mimi and Carter can control it once you're gone."

"Hmm... very well arrange for a lawyer to come soon."

"I was thinking perhaps you just write it and I can ha-"

"No, I will not have anyone leave the manor. Not right now, just call up Mr. Burke. I'm sure he won't mind."

"Yes but he will ask about Lilliana"

"We will say she belongs to mimi.... "

I sighed in defeat as she ushered me out and mimi took my place to help her dress. I pulled on my coat and gloves. Jared teased me slightly about being whipped as usual and in return i teased him about feeding off the drama of my relationship. I took Blaze into town to contact Burke in person. It was more effective than depending on his secretary's word that she'd inform him of my call. The trip to town wasn't long and as usual the office was slightly busy. I ignored his secretary and went straight into his office and he was on the phone.

"Um please hold for a moment, Mr. Dracovich I assume my assistant told you i was busy?"

"This is important, Lady Shadowhive has summoned you."

"Well I'm afraid I am in the middle of an important phone call, not to mention i have other appointments."

I walked over and took the phone saying he would call back later before hanging up myself and looked at him seriously.

"She is writing a will... she needs you to write it out and notarize it."

His expression stiffened and he stood from his chair.

"Her condition has gotten worse?"

"I'm afraid so, the smoke damage is taking it's toll now."

"Poor dear, I'll have my assistant rearrange my appointments. I'll be at the manor in an hour."

I bowed and left his office hiding my smirk until i mounted Blaze. Riding through town just as quickly as I had ridden to town my thoughts revolved around my family. My queen and princess waiting for my return at the manor, but soon we would be in my domain. Free to do as we please, perhaps even take up a few contracts from time to time to satiate our hunger but never again would I lust after another. For my fox will always keep me satisfied. My thoughts were disturbed though as I approached the manor, something was wrong. I brought Blaze to the stables and locked him in his pen. Going through the kitchen door I couldn't hear the soft voices murmuring through the halls. The garden was quiet as well and Jared wasn't roaming about but i could sense that everyone in the household was in the office... but the stillness alarmed me. I opened the door and saw all three of the staff and my queen circled around her desk. I came closer and saw a scatter arrangement of photographs on the desk.
