Slowly, I walked back to the kitchen, afraid the dizziness would come back. So far so good. I placed my bowl into the dishwasher and straightened my body back up. That seemed to be a mistake. I rushed into the bathroom and threw up the contents of my breakfast.
"Ugh," I moaned.
I rested my head between my knees while the queasiness in my stomach roared.
I vaguely heard the door in the kitchen open, signaling that Chelsea and Peggy were home.
"Anna?! We're home!" Chelsea yelled.
"In here chels," I croaked as my eyes shifted to the small box on the shelf next to the toilet. "Oh shit.."
Chelsea came in interrupting my thoughts as I flung myself back over the toilet bowl and wretched out whatever was left in my stomach.
"Oh Anna, are you okay? I'll go get my mom."
I nodded weakly as she left. My eyes trailed back over to the innocent box that was causing me to panic. I started calculating back in my head, and then it hit me. My periods almost three months late. I leaned back over the toilet, and threw up again.
