Nathan gently laid me on our new bed, and crawled on top of me, never once breaking the kiss.
"I don't want to hurt the baby," Nathan said between kisses, his hand caressijng my stomach.
"You won't, the doctors actually say sex can be good for the baby." I spoke.
"That's slightly disturbing," Nathan giggled.
"Yeah, when you think about it, it really is," I said, laughing back.
Nathan got off me, and settled down beside me instead.
"You hungry baby?" He asked delicately.
"Not particularly. But I mean, I could eat." He nodded and made his way to the kitchen.
I laid in our new bed and thought about what a 360 my life had become. I went from a poor teenager that had a drug fueled mother, to an orphan, to a soon to be mother with her own apartment and a wonderful boyfriend. Boyfriend. Is that what Nathan was? We had never really clarified on what we were, other than he wanted to be here for little chase. Maybe we should talk about it.
He broke me out of my thoughts when he returned to the bedroom with his phone in his hand.
"So I realized once I stepped in the kitchen we have no food here... So do you want takeout?" He asked.
I thought it over for a second. Chinese food did sound really good, and I had been craving an egg roll for what seemed like forever.
"I would love Chinese food, honestly," I giggled. "But only if you promise to get me an egg roll."
He chuckled and pressed a finger to my nose.
"Anything for you, Anna."
I watched as he quickly dialed a number and ordered heaps of Chinese food. Once he was off the phone I spoke again.
"There's no way we're going to eat fifty dollars worth of Chinese food, Nathan."
"Well no, not tonight, but then we'll have leftovers." He said, smiling at me.
"That's true, I didn't think of that," I said. He did make a valid point. I knew I would wake up In the middle of the night practically dying for that Chinese food.
"Wanna watch a movie while we wait? I had Chelsea bring over all of my DVDs from the old house, so we can watch whatever. The Chinese won't be here for another forty five minutes, anyways." He asked.
"A movie sounds lovely," I said. I needed to unwind and relax after the hectic day Chelsea and him had put me through. Don't get me wrong, I loved the apartment, but moving was a big deal to a pregnant girl.
He walked over to the giant television and after a few seconds of searching, he grabbed a dvd case and popped a movie into the DVD player.
"What are we watching?" I asked, curiously.
"It's a surprise," he said as he sat at the edge of the bed, placing the dvd remote next to him. "Now give me you're feet, I'm going to give you a foot massage."
I recoiled shyly.
"Oh no, Nathan that's okay, I'm fine and you don't have to do that, plus I don't like my feet." I said, pulling my knees up to my growing belly.
" oh shush, your feet are cute, now here." He said, grabbing my legs and pulling them too him. "Just enjoy this and watch the movie. You deserve to relax."
I finally gave in and began to relax as the opening credits to The Notebook started to play.
"You like The Notebook?" I asked, sinking into the bed further as his hands magically worked at the tension in my feet.
"Well yeah, it's a classic. But you can't judge me if i cry okay? Noah and aly make me really emotional." He joked, smirking at me.
"Oh shut up," I countered. " I, for a fact, know I will cry. This movie gets me every time."
He just smiled at me and continued to rub my stress away. How did my life become so perfect?
