" Gwen what do you like to do?" Edwin asked her politely. He wanted to know more about her. He knew Gwen's family a little, but he didn't know until today that she was interested. He felt unsure of what to do, he hadn't really been around  girls, but he didn't know what to do around them.He found it easier for her to talk to then most other girls he'd met. She would be the first ever to just flat out kiss him. She was a brave one.

"I like the forest; I spend a lot of  time out there." Gwen informed him

"I enjoy going out into the forest, too. It's very peaceful. A great place to take it easy." Edwin agreed with her. Not long after that  George walked up to them, a peculiar look upon his face.

"Tell me girl who is your father?" George asked curiously.

"Angus, sir is my father." Gwen answered him right away.

George began to laugh just a little.

"What is so funny father?" Edwin asked unsure of the joke.

"Why do you wish for me to return?" she asked him curious.

"I wish to walk you home this evening that's all." He replied with a half of a smile.

"Sure I would like that very much." She replied  before leaving the blacksmith shop to walk around the town for a while, before meeting him at sunset.

She stopped over to the dress shop and a few of the pottery shops in the market place. Running into a few of the other kids her age. She enjoyed walking around the market place looking at all of the different things that were for sale. She seldom bought anything, she didn't ask for money often from her parents. She knew her family didn't have much money to spend. After walking for a good several hours she stopped to rest in the middle of the town square next to the fountain. She watched people come and go. It looked like the tavern was pretty busy this early. She sat there for quite some time waving at the people she knew.

There were a few but not that many. It was a very small town near this majestic landscape. She loved to sit and just watch nature. Gwen could not help but be very in tune with the earth. After sitting there for the longest time, she got up and walked around the marketplace. It was getting close to sunset. She couldn't wait.

While Gwen was walking through the marketplace, he was pacing in the shop with anxiety. What was he supposed to say to her? What was he supposed to do when he walked a girl home? What if she gets to know me better and doesn't like what she finds out? All of these thoughts were racing through his mind at the same time. His nerves were positively shot at this point as he went on pacing his father looked at him dead in the eyes.

"Son relax, the girl obviously likes you, so just remember to breathe, and it will be fine you will see." George told his son hoping to calm the boy down, it was nearly sunset and the kid looked like he needed a stiff drink. George smiled at his own joke.
