"No I just got here." Gwen reassured him.

He smiled at her. He couldn't believe that she liked him. She was a nice girl; she was beautiful and always seemed to be happy. He hoped that he didn't say or do anything to look like a dunce in her presence. He was a little  nervous.

"Good I would hate to have kept you waiting for long." Edwin told her with sincerity.

He was pleased to see that she was not anger with him for being gone even though it was not long why he was out of the store he still did not want to look bad in front of her.

"Edwin makes sure you take her somewhere and have a good time," George told his son. He then turned to Gwen, "It was good seeing you again dear. You are welcome in the shop anytime."

"Are you ready to go?" Edwin asked her almost in a whisper.

"Yes of course, but where are we going?" she asked, curious as always.

"You will see when we get there." He told her in a gentle tone.

"I mean it is a surprise, I did not mean to sound harsh.

"It is okay, really." Gwen told him in a soft tone. He already noticed she was very understanding. He really liked her, yet he had never told a soul. He did not know what it was about her, they had not known of each other's interest until yesterday, it however was a very potent interest, he would give it that.

The two of them walked in the south west direction through town, then into the forest. They talked a little on the way there. He wanted to know everything about her but he did not want to pry it out of her. His father told him to always be sensitive to a woman's feelings. He did his best to remember that with Gwen. She was just a wonderful person to be around; she always seemed to be in a glorious state of happiness whenever he saw her. It made him smile

.

She was curious as to where they were headed. She had not been in the southern side of the forest. It looked the same but different somehow. It was an almost magical place. They had come to a small clearing when he stopped and just looked around at the beauty of this place, the calming effect it seemed to have when you stopped to take a look at it once in a while. Gwen could feel something about this forest to be different. Not bad or alarming but a nice kind of different. It reminded her of a forest out of a fairy tale or Mother Goose rhyme.

She loved it out here; if she could she would come out here and sleep under the stars. It did not matter where she was she was with Edwin. That was all that mattered to her right now. She was really starting to enjoy his company. After talking to him a while she realized he was not all that shy, or at least around her he was not all that shy. He had opened up a little more with her. She did not mind at all. The two had a lot in common. They knew a few of the same people, being a small town that was bound to happen. She enjoyed being with him sitting under a huge oak tree watching the sunset over the horizon. It was a magnificent sight to see.

Gwen crept closer to the glowing fairy trying not to scare her away.

                                                   Veronica

Veronica stormed back to the castle from her run in with the stupid forest wench. She could feel her blood boil at the thought of the mindless twit. She walked faster, not out of need but out of anger. Her temper flared as she picked up her pace, she was making excellent time through the forest. It only took half the time to get back through her own forest and  castle. She needed to get back to her tower, she needed to think.

She needed to check her reference books on omens. She also needed to check through her book of dark secrets. That was if she could get to the tower without running into half the servants staffed at the castle. When Veronica returned to the castle she ran straight up the long winding staircase and headed straight for her tower. She stopped and suddenly she thought of the twerp in the woods. She had distaste for the girl. She was not sure why such hatred was brewing from her. The girl almost knocked her down, other than the girl's stupidity, The dark witch did not get why she hated the girl so much
