Gwen  grabbed Trinity by the arm, looking at her with a serious concern for her new friend.

"Come on we need to go home and research this little episode you just had. There has got to be more to it than this, I just know it." Gwen commanded.

"How do you know?" Trinity asked.

"It's just a feeling; I think you saw a darkened vision for a reason."

Trinity wasn't as sure as her new friend, but she just nodded in agreement.

They headed back through the forest until  reaching the village square.  The two  rested a moment before heading up the hill to the cottage.

When Gwen reached the aging front door to the family cottage she smiled at Trinity with a hopeful look.

"Welcome home Trinity." Spoke Sophia as her daughter slowly opened the door.

"Thank you I'm so grateful for your wonderful hospitality." Trinity replied, bowing to the lady of the house.

"What a well-mannered young lady. I think we'll get along just fine dear."

"I would like that very much", was Trinity's reply.

Sophia smiled at her then turned to her only daughter.

"Why don't you take her to your bedroom to get settled in?"

Gwen nodded and did as her mother had suggested. She motioned to Trinity who immediately followed her down the short hall to Gwen's bedroom. Once the two were settling in, they began looking through what magical books Gwen owned, to see if they could figure out why Trinity was having visions of darkness. The witches read through the rest of the afternoon with no such luck. They couldn't find anything in Gwen's books. She thought for sure that her book of omens would have had a clue in it, but nothing.

"Should we meditate under the moon?" Trinity suggested after a long silence.

Gwen's face lit up instantly. She smiled at her new friend and nodded yes to her perfect idea.

"I think that's a wonderful idea, tonight when the moon appears we'll go out into the garden and meditate."

Trinity was proud of herself and happy to have such a great friend. The two of them talked in their now shared bedroom for hours. Trinity, feeling that she needed to handed her spell book to Gwen.

"Why did you hand it to me?"

"You have my permission to read it, to help me with it." She spoke in a lowered tone.

"I was going to help you anyway, even if I never read it, but if you want I will look through it."

Trinity smiled, excited to learn all she could from Gwen as well as Maggie.

Gwen looked at the cover of the book; she noticed that Trinity had a talent for art. There was a pentagram drawn on the first page with magical symbols inside of it, representing the elements and the zodiac. She was very impressed, and she hadn't even opened the book yet. Slowly she flipped through a few pages, as Trinity waited to see what Gwen would have to say. After Gwen looked through the first six pages, she smiled and closed the book of shadows. She took a deep breath.

"I think it looks great, you're right on track with it."

"Do you really think so?"

"I'd never lie about something like this."

Trinity simply nodded to her. Gwen spent most of the time talking to Trinity about everything she could think of, from the boys in town and the season festivals to magic and dreams. Time it had appeared to pass quickly for the two of them as they began to share everything. The differences between them seemed to form a true kinship like no other. Trinity was more of the shy type, and Gwen seemed to light up around others. Gwen seemed to just have a delightful soul, a bright aura about her.
