                                                        Spell-casting

Knowing the best option; tell Triadia about this incident. If anyone knew why there would be more than a coincidence, the elder sorceress would. She did not have a lesson with Triadia for a few more nights, but she would be sure to mention it to her the next time. For the time being, Veronica did what she did best when she couldn't control something, she buried herself in her studies. Veronica got comfortable on the bed. She then lit a few candles with her books in front of her. She sat on the bed studying, taking in as much information as she possibly could. She studied long into the night, until she longer could stay awake. In the middle of the night, sleep claimed her once more.

When she woke it was nearly middle of the day. It took her more than a few minutes to wake up. She was a little groggy for the first ten minutes, and then she was fully alert and ready for anything. She got dressed slowly she had no particular plans for the day, not yet anyway. She didn't do much, walking through the courtyards, roaming the castle, waiting for the night. She had better focus and intuition in the late hours of the night, just a nocturnal. It was hard wired into her. The night seemed to call to her, a call she could not ignore.

After what seemed like days as opposed to hours, the night had finally appeared, slowly as usual. As the moon appeared from behind its shadows, veronica could feel the night. He could feel the inner strength of her power rising, surging through her. When it had gotten late enough, with the full moon empowering her, she decided she would do more than studying in her room this night. It was as if some cosmic force driving her telling her it was high time for a ritual again. When she settled herself in her room she leaned over the bed and pulled out a large box from under the bed.

It was a box of extra special items, a magical tool box so to speak. It contained everything that a sorceress would need to perform any magical working. The box had velvet cloth, rope, magical potion bottles, mirrors, a sachet, different candles, metals, jewels and runes. She then concentrating with an intense focus, conjured up her book of dark secrets, just in case she ended up having any kind of vision.

First she pulled out four candles of the same size and shape. She then pulled out her small water basin. She filled it half way with water and then set it on her altar. She placed each of the four black candles at each corner of her altar. She opened her book of dark secrets, and began looking through after quite some time she finally found a ritual she thought would help her. It was calling forth the dark guardians. She read it three times then recited it a couple of times with her eyes closed to make sure she would get it right. Triadia warned her that little mistakes with magic can cost you more than just a few sleepless nights.

At first Veronica did not get what she meant. Then she thought a moment and remembered of past lives, reincarnation. Then understood it.That or enough of it to know not to just cast spells and invoke demons for her own entertainment. He usually did not listen to other people, but the look of grave danger on the face of her teacher told her this was not the time to be rebellious or spiteful. Triadia has over the past 8 months helped her with her anger issues, through guided meditation, chanting and past life recovery sessions. Those were really bizarre for her. She couldn't believe half of the memories she had her uncover.

She shook the memory away, reminding herself to focus on the now. Veronica finally lit the candles and kneeled before the altar in an almost prayer style. She first did a meditation, to help the mind and spirit work together to receive any messages or signs from the guardians. Once she felt as if she were in an almost dream state of mind, she knew she was ready to perform the incantation. Taking a deep breath, then she began chanting and began putting a spell into the universe.

"Dark angels of forbidden lights, help me with my soul this night."

She repeated the incantation until it felt the same as rapid breathing. She then cleared her mind for just a moment, and continued reciting the rest of her spell.

"Dark guides that I feel near, help me please to say things clear."

She then stood up and thanked the dark ones for any assistance they would wish to give it. Once her ritual was completed and the candles had burned out, she jotted down in her book of dark secrets of the ritual the time and moon phase. She then cleaned up the items from her altar. Veronica felt more powerful more magically alive. She added that to her dark book of secrets. A sense of dark power began to coarse through her body mind and soul. She could feel that her spell was going to be set in motion. Sorcery seemed to be the only thing in the universe that brought her a sense of joy.

Veronica knew it was her calling in life. The dark path was home to her. She had even conjured a few dark creatures, yet she had told not a soul, Triadia didn't know of it. Veronica did not keep a lot of secrets, but when she did they were of grave importance.Veronica was not the only one captivated by the full moon that night. It was a magical night, not only for Veronica, but there was yet another conjuring magick upon this very same night.

On the edge of the forest, Maggie was dressed in her ritual robe, accompanied by one white candle and her magical staff. She was in her back yard, behind her small cottage in the woods. She set the candle down on the soft earth a few feet in front of her. Maggie then began to first relax her body then soon after that, her mind. To accomplish this she put herself in a trance like state of being. She then began to envision the great moon goddess, in all of her wonderment and divine intentions. Maggie felt a surge of empowerment, as she looked up at the full moon, then pointing her staff she began to chant:

" faries of the forgotten lands, come to me, by land, by air and by sea.

Come to me by left hand once more, that is the realm I must explore.

Guide me aid me to the light, so I am not forgotten twice."

Maggie then thanked the goddess for listening to her request. Maggie then stood there after the ritual for quite sometime, enjoying the majestic glow of the moons light. Maggie had felt at peace with the world, the good and the bad. Before she headed inside for the night she thought of her young student, Gwen. She wondered if Gwen was enjoying this powerful evening, perhaps with the boy she was trying to get to know. She then headed inside for a warm cup of tea, and settled in for the night. Not long after Maggie sipped her tea, she drifted off in her main room of the cottage She slept soundly, slumped over in her chair

Gwen was enjoying the magical pull of the evening. Though Gwen longed to be outside, she knew better at this late hour. She sat in her bedroom, near the window , with just enough moonlight to work. Gwen had set three candles on the top of her dresser. She set three tapestry candles in a triangle shape. Then Gwen carefully opened the spell-book she had been keeping for months. She enjoyed writing in it, but she didn't have many spells in it yet. Once she found the incantation she was looking for , she started by clearing her mind. She stood in front of her dresser, soaking her essence in the moon's fine white light. Once she had relaxed herself and felt ready, she started chanting;

" Great owl of the light,

Look for wisdom upon the witches hour.

" look to thy self, brewing my inner power.

As it is written so shall it be."

Gwen repeated the chant over and over again, until it was as rhythmic to her as breathing. When she had finished the chant whispering in her bedroom, she thanked the goddess and god for any assistance they wished to lend her. Gwen felt a deep inner connection, a feeling of peace. She climbed into the bed and went into a deep meditation while the candles burned themselves out. She noticed she was getting better with her trance work. After a good deep meditation, she fell into a restful sleep.
