I couldn’t believe it! Ted owned a house! He’s only like sixteen right? I mean people usually live in those things, but the way he said it made it sound like he lived here alone and he alone owned this house! When he finally released me I decided to ask him who he lived with.

“Do you own the house and do you live with someone or alone?”

“Yes to the first question. I live alone.” I stared in disbelief.

“Follow me,” he said while he pulled me along.

We stopped by two doors that allowed entrance to the house. He slid his hand across a panel and the doors suddenly opened. My eyebrows raised in surprise, but I kept my mouth shut. If I thought that the outside was extremely beautiful then I was seriously wrong and I take it back. The inside was even more extravagant than the outside.

When we walked in we passed a large room that I assumed was the living room. We walked by so fast all I was able to catch a glimpse of was some expensive looking couches and a large, and when I say large I’m just downplaying it, t.v. Ted stopped in front of a pale white door with a black intricate design snaking around the door. I stared at the design in awe mesmerized by the beauty of it. Ted pulled me out of my daze and into the kitchen. There was a small, yet still large island in the middle of the kitchen, the stove and cabinets were on one side of the kitchen. On the other side there was a grand round table with six chairs. I could see light streaming in from the windows and outside was the pool I had spotted earlier. Ted sat me down in a chair and went to the refrigerator that I had accidentally missed while ogling my surroundings.

I decided to pay attention. I looked at Ted which by now was cooking something. I didn’t dare get up because me and cooking don’t exactly match up, if you know what I mean. After cooking something for ten minutes Ted came back with two plates. It looked so delicious! I must say I’m surprised he can cook! He had made pasta with garlic bread and a dessert that I was itching to get my hands on. I wanted to devour everything I saw but I held myself back. I’m a girl and I have manners I repeated to myself. I was so concentrated on saying those lines I hadn’t heard Ted asking me something.

“-like?” I felt guilty for only catching the last word.

I nervously laughed. “Can you repeat that?”

“Sure,” he responded with a grin. “I was just asking you if you like this place and my cooking,” he said while looking at me.

I began to eat savoring each bite. “Of course! I love this place! I’ve never been to such a beautiful place in my life before.”

Ted smiled. I remember what he said earlier and I decided to ask him.

“Why have you never brought anyone here and why is it your special place? What about your family?” I started rapidly firing questions.

“Woah! Slow down tiger,” he said with a wink that made my heart flutter.

“I’ve never brought anyone here before. This is the place I come to when I need to relax or think.” He held up his hand to stop me from interrupting him. “I don’t really know why I brought you here. I just felt like you should see this place.”

At that I blushed and resumed eating. I let the subject drop, but I did notice how he didn’t answer my question about his family. I would save that for later.

Dinner went on by quick. After eating he gave me a tour of only the first floor. I didn’t want to pry and ask him why I couldn’t see the other levels, so I just didn’t say anything. We revisited the living room that I was only able to catch a glimpse of; it was stunning. The whole room looked modern yet old fashioned. He briefly showed me a couple other rooms but we stopped at a room that was painted blue on the inside. Once again there was an intricate sign around the door.

Once inside the room I saw a breathtaking view. There were windows that were as large as one of the walls overlooking the greenery outside. In the middle of the room was a ginormous bed. It looked comfortable, but I settled on a black chair part of a desk. Ted sat on the bed and looked at me with amused eyes.

“Is this your room?” I asked.

“Yes,” he replied.

I had half of mind to push him on the bed and finish what started in the infirmary. There was no way someone like him could look as gorgeous as him. I yearned for him, which caught me off guard because I never have crushes. I was too focused on becoming one of the most popular and powerful people at school.

“Do you want to sit here?” he asked patting the bed. I blushed but headed over to where he was. I placed myself at the headboard. God, this bed was so comfortable. I could feel the bed sink under me and wrap around me. I closed my eyes and relaxed.

My eyes fluttered open when I felt the space next to me lightly sink. Ted was lying down next to me! I felt so happy at this moment. A warm tingling in my chest was making me aware that I enjoyed Ted’s company.

I yawned and frowned. How could I be tire? My eyes were growing heavier and I could feel my lids closing! I looked at Ted. His hand was over my forehead. I was positive he was doing something because I could feel a weird sensation where his hand and my forehead made contact. Before I could say anything Ted smiled…and that’s when the blackness settled in.
