I woke up but I wasn't in my bed, I then realised where I was. I looked over at Leon and he's still laying in the bed. It's nearly been a month since Leon had the accident, When ever I finished work at the studio I'd always drive to the hospital to visit him. These couple of weeks have not been the same and it made me realise that I can't live without Leon being my my side. The doctor came every now and then to check on him, but there's a chance of him not surviving which made my heart sink. You don't know how much I miss him, I miss his sweet low voice, his hugs and kisses. To be honest I miss everything about him. I got us and I kissed his forehead when all of a sudden I hear a light knocking sound on the door, it slowly opens and I see Cami's head popping through the door.
C: Hey. V: Hi. C: How you feeling? V: Bad, broken, sad. I just miss him so much Cami. C: I know and we all do. Everyone is waiting outside. V: I'll come out in a minute. C: Take your time, but remember tonight is Fran and Diego's rehearsal dinner. V: I know, it won't be the same without him. C: If you want, me and Broduey can take you so you won't be alone. V: If you don't mind that would be great. C: Of course we won't mind. But we should leave now and get ready, the dinner starts in a few hours. V: Sure, lets me just say goodbye first. Cami nodded in response and left the room. Now I was alone, just me and him. I have to leave now but I promise you I will come visit before the wedding. I love you very much and I hope you wake up soon.
I lean close to him, I put my hands on his cold and pale cheeks and I slight move my lips towards his, let's hope he wakes up like the last time. But it didn't work. Maybe I'm too late. I decided to leave the room and I take one lady look at him before I close the door behind me.
I drove home in silence, no radio, no nothing just complete silence. I arrive home and I see my dad and Angie sitting down on the sofa, they look at me but the only thing I could do is cry and cry and cry. They both pulled me towards the sofa and I sat between them and I rested my head in my dads shoulder making his shirt soaking wet from my salty tears.
D: It's going to be okay Vilu. V: How do you know dad? He hasn't woken up in weeks and the doctor said that there is a chance of him not surviving. How is that going to be okay? I say and I raise my voice on the last sentence. A: Calm down Vilu, were only trying to help. V: I know, I'm sorry for raising my voice. G: We understand what you're going through and I know that it's very hard for you but Leon is a strong man and he can fight his way through it. You just need to keep thinking positive and it will all end in a happy ending. V: Thanks dad, that really helped. A: Now don't you need to get ready for Fran and Diego's rehearsal dinner. V: Yeah I do, I should go get ready Cami and Broduey are going to pick me up from here. G: That's fine now get ready otherwise you'll be late.
I managed to let out a little giggle and I kissed both their cheeks and I went upstairs and got ready. I had a quick shower since I don't have a lot of time and afterwards I did my make up. I decided to wear the dress that Angie brought me for my birthday. It's just a beautiful dress.

It was 4:55 and Cami will be here in 5 minutes, luckily I'm ready and I walk downstairs. I see Angie and my dad staining at me.
V: What are you staring at? Is there something wrong with me dress. G: No, your dress looks so beautiful. V: Then why were you staring then? G: It's just that as you were walking down those stairs, I could see the face of your mother. She would be so proud to have such a brace and beautiful girl. V: That's sweet dad but don't make me cry otherwise my makeup will be ruined. They Gould be here any minute now.
Some minutes later the doorbell rang and I opened the door and there stood Cami in a beautiful knee length dress.
C: You look absolutely stunning. V: Says you, broduey better keep you close to him otherwise boys will be all over you. We both laugh and then I shout out. Dad, I'm off now. G: Enjoy and have fun but not too much fun. V: Whatever.
And with that I close the door and make my way towards Broduey's car where he's sitting waiting for us. We drive off into the sunset, it's such a beautiful evening out. Too bad that Leon is missing out on everything. After 15 minutes of driving we finally arrive in front of a beautiful, old fashioned building. We got out if he car and made out way through an archway till we come across to a bunch of round tables and chairs. There are lights around the arch way and on the trees. I've never seen something more beautiful. We see Fran coming towards us and gives us a huge hug.
F: I'm so glad you guys made it. V: We wouldn't miss it, this place is so beautiful. F: As it's such a beautiful evening, we decided to go outside, is that alright with you? C: It's perfect Fran. F: Thanks, so Vilu, how's Leon doing. V: He still hasn't woken up yet, I'm starting to get really worried now. What if he doesn't make it? F: Listen to me, Leon is one of the strongest men I know, don't say that to Diego. Leon will get through this is will fight his way through it. V: You're not the only one who said that, but let's not start of negative, it's your special night before your big day so let's enjoy it while we last. F: You're right. You three are sitting with me and Diego, and Naty, Maxi, Ludmilla and Fede will be on the table next to us and there not enough room to fit all of us on one table. C: That's fine, the main this is that we are all together again.
We all smile at each other and we take our seats and wait for the other guests to arrive. After about an hour or so, all the guests arrived and it was time for the speeches. I went first.
V: I would like to say a few thing, Fran and Diego I want to say a huge congratulations to you and I wish you a happy life together. Now my aim is not to cry whilst saying this speech but I want to say that I love you very much. Fran and I have been friends for what seems like a lifetime now and that will never change. If only Leon could be with us tonight to celebrate your last night of freedom. Everyone let out a little laugh. So please join me in a toast to both of them. May their lucky numbers keep coming up for the rest of their lives.
Everyone applauded and tears filled the place. Fran, who also had tears rolling down her cheeks, gave me a hug. Federico decided to speak next since the best man, which is Leon by the way isn't here so he will be the best man for now on. It was such a beautiful speech. This will definitely be a night I will never forget.
It was almost one in the morning when I arrived home, so I decided to go straight to bed.
Not long now till this book is finished 😔 however I updated it a couple days early so that means the next chapter will come out over the weekend. But I really enjoyed writing this book and thank you all ❤️
