Anyways, let's get on with the chapter. 😊

Branch finished putting on his clothes, and walked down the hallway, when he heard singing coming from the bathroom.

It was Poppy's voice.

What was Poppy doing here?

Branch recognized that song.

It was True Colors.

Branch loved that song. He had admitted that he loved Poppy then.

So had Poppy.

But, did she mean it?

Did he mean it?

She sat at the door and listened to her singing. He knew that was one of Poppy's favorite songs.

Of course, as she had told him, Can't Stop The Feeling and Get Back Up Again were her favorites, too.

Poppy was an amazing singer. Branch loved it when she sang.

All of a sudden, Branch snapped out of it when the door flew open.

It was cracked.

"Ahh! Branch! What are you doing here?" Poppy asked, putting down her toothbrush and helping him up.

"Um, I, uh...." Branch murmured. "Well, I mean, what are you doing here?"

"Didn't you hear? My dad linked our houses together. He links we're all 'Love Bugs' or whatever." Poppy laughed. "I thought I would surprise you before you woke up. But, you're already awake, I guess."

Branch's mouth fell open.

Sure this was a fun idea.

And he liked Poppy.

But sharing a house with her?!

He gets nervous just when she's 20 feet away!

"Oh, uh....um...okay." he gulped back the lump in his throat.

Poppy giggled. "You don't seem too excited."

"It's not that. I-"

Poppy stepped close to him. "I know, Branch. It's weird. My dad, it's just that...."

Branch nodded. "Yeah, I get it."

Poppy brushed his hair with her fingers. "You're not mad, are you?"

Branch looked surprised. "Not at all!" he put his hand on her waist. "It's fine." he started to lean in.

"Poppy? Branch? Are you guys back there?" said Peppy's voice that seemed too close to comfort.

Branch and Poppy pulled away in a panic. They closed the bathroom door. Branch went into his room, and Poppy went out to her Dad.

That was awkward.
