Branch's eyes filled up with tears when those words escaped Poppy's mouth. He put his head to the floor, and started walking away slowly. He was surprised that Poppy didn't at least try to stop him.
He made his way slowly away from everyone else, when he felt a body jump on top of him and raise his head, and something pink kissed his lips.
Poppy.
What was she doing here?
Poppy held their lips together, and she didn't let him go. Branch didn't know what was going on.
"Branch," she said, as she slowly pulled away. "I was kidding."
Relief flushed through his body. He sighed, then he smiled, realizing that he was going to marry the love of his life, and it was definite this time.
