Chapter 9: A Little Bit of History

  TRIGGER WARNING! THERE ARE A COUPLE REALLY BAD THINGS COMING UP, SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE SMEXUAL (and yes I spelled it like that on purpose) STUFF THEN DO NOT READ THIS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

When Lapis woke up, all she saw was blonde hair. She wasn't as freaked out as the day before, because she knew that it was just Peridot. Then a sudden realization came to her mind.

"Crap! School!" She shouted shaking Peridot. The smaller girl instantly woke up and frantically looked at her phone to see what time it was.

9:30 was the time, but it also said that it was Sunday...

"Lapis, it's Sunday." She said while rubbing her eyes.

"Oh, well I thought yesterday was Sunday... um sorry for waking you up then..."

"It's fine! I wasn't having the nicest dream anyways..."

They got got and got dressed and headed downstairs to the living room. As she sat down, Lapis thought of a good question that dhe really wanted an answer to.

"Um... Peridot, can I ask you a question?" She asked with slight hesitation.

"Uh, sure."

"How did you becone friends with Jasper?"

Peridot was silent for a while. But finally after a few moments she spoke up.

"Well, it's kind of a long story, but I guess I should tell you..."
Peridot looked at the wall for a moment, as if she were trying to figure out just how she would tell her story.

"Well, back in middle school, if you couldn't tell, I was a huge nerd. I was such a big nerd, that I got... bullied really bad. Not like name calling or anything, I got beat up once or twice a day..." Peridot looked at the floor.
"But, I got REALLY good grades, and Jasper, who had gone to the same middle school as me, noticed. So when I got into highschool, she made me a deal. I did whatever she asked me too, and no one would ever bully me again. I didn't take her offer at first..." She paused, and remembered a horrid day.

Le flashback ~

I hadn't done anything to them! I'm just some nobody that minds her own business! But no! I have to get bullied!

"Aww come on Perisnot! Don't leave so soon!" He said in a scary tone.

"Why can't you leave me alone Jacob! What have I done to you?" She said, tears forming in her eyes.

Jacob looked at her with the evil look he always gave her before he beat the crap out of her.

"You say one more word, and I'll give you a reason to cry." Looks like he noticed the tears in her eyes.

"No! Just leave me be!" Peridot bolted for the bus, but she was grabbed and dragged to the back of the school. She tried to get away, but it didn't work.

"Please! Just let me go!" She was in full on tears now.

He punched her. And then he started pulling her shirt off. She screamed for help, but no one came. Why does no one ever hear me scream!?!? The school staff is horrible!!! He slaped her for screaming, and tried pulling her pants down, but Peridot bit him. That's when he really lost it. He grabbed her hair and started kicking her in the stomach. He then pulled her pants down successfully, and then punched her in the nose, whuch immediately began to bleed.

"Ha! That's what you get for fighting it you dumb bitch!"

Next he went for her bra, and was successful. And for not putting up a fight, Peridot received a slap in the face.

And after that he did what he always did. He touched her, and he hurt her in the process. Once he was finished, she had gotten a broken nose, at least thirty bruises, and fourteen scratches...

End of Le flashback ~

"Are you ok Peridot? You've been staring at the wall crying for like five minutes now." Lapis said with slight panic.

"Uh... I-I'm sorry, I'll continue with my story now I guess..."

"You don't have to if you don't want to Peridot."

"I-I'm fine... Anyways, let's just say I got beat up really bad one day, so I finally took Jasper's offer. I really looked up to her for the longest times, because she practically saved me, even though she corrupted me at the same time... And at first she just made me do her homework and stuff, but she started making me join her and gang while they bullied other kids, and after a while I started bullying kids too, because I was so angry with others for hurting me so much. And I didn't realize that it was wrong, because I figured that if people got to treat me like crap, I could treat them like crap too... But understand now that that was wrong, and I shouldn't have been such a jerk, and I'm trying not to make the same mistakes again. Especially with you, because you're really cool, and I genuinely like you as a person." Peridot gave Lapis a small smile, and Lapis gave one back, even though she knew that Peridot was leaving something out of her story. But she didn't want to make Peri talk about it, because it seemed to make her really sad, and Lapis really didn't like to see a Peridot sad for some reason...

After that, they spent the rest of the day watching Camp Pinning Hearts and playing video games.

Lapis pondered on why Peridot cried earlier. She knew she wasn't crying just because she got bullied, there was something else... Maybe one day she'll tell me... ok I'm going to be a bad friend, and ask. NO! That's horrible! Ugh, why must I be really nosey?

It was ten pm now, so they decided to go to bed since there was ACTUALLY school the next day. Lapus fell asleep easily, but Peridot had a hard time. All sh could think about was her past. She thought about middle school, Lapis, and she especially thought about him (Jacob). Those memories were especially bad. At least she hasn't had to deal with him since she took Jasper's deal. Was he even in the same school? If so, he must've been to scared to bother her, or worse, he found some other girl to hurt. Oh no, I really hope that hasn't happened...

After a long while of thinking, Peridot eventually drifted off to sleep, (she may or may not have cuddled Lapis in the process *insert lenny face) and she actually had a normal dream, well, if you call pumpkins dogs that she treated like her children normal.
