Kyoko POV-
After the whole ordeal with Mei, we entered the dugout to see the rest of the team, I guess we were the last ones to arrive.
"Where were you guys?" Jun-San asks and as I was about to reply with a vague answer.
"Kyoko was getting hit on by that blonde pitcher." Sawamura nonchalantly answers, making everyone in dugout to become silent and look this way. I don't even know how to reply so I just pinch the bridge of my nose. "She also said she would give him her number when he shows his new pitch."
"Okay, that's enough Sawamura." I grit my teeth. He really has no self awareness...
"Wait-blonde pitcher? You don't mean Narumiya Mei?" Nori asks.
"Well, were old friends, I don't mind giving him my number for some valuable data for the team. Just because he has my number doesn't mean I have to reply." I giggle, knowing I most likely won't answer him unless he speaks normally.
"Anyway, let's move on now to the meeting." I smile, disregarding anyone's questions on the matter.
Aniki then went on saying the schedule on how the regulars wouldn't be playing against Inashiro and only play there last game against Shutoku.(I think it is, if not sorry..)
The meeting came to a conclusion and the team dispersed. "Oh yes Kyoko, I need you make sure you get every detail on Inashiro, I trust you will do well." Coach commanded giving a little smile and then walked away.

~Time skip~
I had taken many notes about the non-regulars on Inashiro who were playing, even though it was the next match that everyone was waiting for. Maybe I should ask Mei if I can watch close from there dugout? I chuckled at the idea, thinking Mei would probably would try and get his coach to agree.
"What are laughing about?" Miyuki came up to me asking, his tone was a bit harsh. I had no idea the reason, maybe I was just overthinking it, or he was just having a bad day.
"Oh no just thinking. Oh yeah, are you going to be working on Tanba's forkballs in the last game?" I smile, I felt some awkwardness between the two of us, so it would be a good idea to make some subtle conversations about the games ahead.
"Yeah I'm going to try, hopefully make him more comfortable and confident." I nod agreeing with him. Tanba really needs to become more confident to wear the ace number. "So what was that earlier?" The catcher asks, making my eyebrow raise?
"What do you mean?"
"With Mei, I had no clue you had that kind of relationship with him." Kazuya states kind of blandly.
"Don't misunderstand, it's just a one sided crush on his end and he isn't that serious anyway."
"Why would I misunderstand?" Miyuki scoffs. "I was just wondering since I've known him for a while. I don't particularly care if you have that type of relationship." With that, he walks away towards Kuramochi and the third years.
What the hell was that? Why was he being a dick all of a sudden? After what happened between us, I would have thought it would be more awkward for us to speak but by the looks of things he isn't holding back whatsoever.
Well who cares, if he's going to act like that he can shove it.
Now pissed off, I walk away from the rest of the team and take a seat so I can see all the game properly to get the best data possible. Mei also walks to the mound, looking up to the stands and the spotting me. He waves and makes a phone shape with his hands. I guess our deal is a go.
The game goes on and I can tell he's improved a lot, but this could already be found in other games data. Well that was until he threw a change up making all of Seido look in shock and worry. After this Mei waved yet again, showing he had shown his cards.
He got subbed out...
I would have laughed, but I was worried about future games against them, they were already a formidable opponent and this just made it a lot more ridiculous.
"Kyoko! So what do you think?" I hear a cheerful voice call, seeing a slightly dirty Mei walk towards me and take the seat next to mine.
"Well, you sure surprised me. I didn't think you would have conquered a change up already."
"So, we had a deal right? What's you're number?" I sighed and took his phone, inputting my contact information. Not soon after I received a text from an Unknown number.
'Looks like we have an audience xo'. The message made me turn around to see most of the first string Seido players looking this way, which made me quite embarrassed to say the least.
"Kyoko, how's your arm?" Mei asks, now looking at me more seriously.
"A little better. I still can't play. I still have to go rehab though." I trailed off scratching the back of my head. "Oh yeah, I would appreciate if you don't mention my injury to anyone on Seido." I firmly requested and he just nodded not pressing the issue further.
"Well, I have to get back to the dugout, even though I've been subbed out. The things I do for you Kyoko. I'll text you." Mei winked and walked off.
Thank god that was over.
The Inashiro game ended, and Seido entered the dugout.
"Coach, here are the notes you asked for. I got everything, just ask if you don't understand anything." I smiled and he took the thanking them glancing over them.
"Thanks Kyoko. There's not much for you to do now, but if you see anything you think the players need to improve, make sure to note it down." Aniki replied and I nodded taking a seat watching the team getting their water ready and doing some light stretches.
Mei: Hey! I look forward to see Seido. Too bad you're not playing~~ don't worry you will get better soon and then I'll let you hit against me as much as you want😊😊
I read the message and smiled a little, I admit Mei did say the right things sometimes.
This smile was wiped off my face when my phone began to ring.
"Hello?"
"Kyoko. You better come here right now. I'm at the usual hotel. You better be here within an hour." And with that the phone line went dead.
I suddenly stood up and grabbed all my things. "Aniki, I need to go, something urgent just came up." I said worry plastered on my face. I knew what would happen if I never made it there on time. I wouldn't be good.
Coach just looked at me with his eyebrow raised, until he realised why my expression looked so worrisome.
"Don't worry and go ahead." He nodded and I ran out of the dugout.

Some of the players had seen the situation go down and wondered why Kyoko left in such a way. Of course, the agitated catcher was one of them.

Sorry this chapter was really bad, but needed the filler for some good story points which will happen within the next few chapters😊
