12- Seriously?

Kyoko POV

We sit in the office waiting for the coaches to arrive. I didn't enjoy this atmosphere at all, I was being looked at with eyes of pity and it felt horrible. Mei took out his phone and then placed it to his ear, I could hear the phone ringing as it was dead silent in the office.

"Hey Carlos, ask coach to bring my bag with him to the office."  There was a lot of muffled sounds from Mei's phone.

"I'll explain later, its not what you think. Just calm down will you? Bye."  With that he hung up and placed his phone back in his pocket.

Just then the door opened and it was Aniki, he just looked at us with a confused expression on his face.

"Kyoko are you okay? What's this about?" He was now looking back and forth between me, Mei and the security guards.

"It's okay, just wait until the other coaches get here, its hard to talk about." When I said, coach was just as confused but nodded while Mei placed his hand on my shoulder for reassurance.

After a few moments to other coaches entered the room and head of security began explain the situation while Mei placed his shirt on. After the whole ordeal had been explained the whole room was silent with all eyes on me.

"None of my players would do such thing." Shinkyo's coach retorted, causing Mei to turn furious.

"I saw it with my own eyes!" Mei yelled getting closer to the Shinkyo coach.

"Calm down Narumiya." His coach said sternly causing him to let out an aggravated sigh, but he steps back.  

"Well, we will have to do a full investigation on this, firstly the police will need to be called and the player in question will have to be found." One of the owners spoke. Before I could speak up, Aniki stepped up and spoke on my behalf. 

"I want to keep Kyoko as far away from this as possible, I don't want to constantly bring up bad memories for her." He strongly said and the owner nodded. 

"Okay, well we have her statement, we will contact the police, they shouldn't need to speak to her much after that, once if most." 

After some contact information was exchanged, I called Driver Lee and told him to pick me up as fast as possible, I really didn't want to get the coach back with all the players there, who knows what I would be asked? 

Everyone began to leave the office and make there way back to their own teams. Mei placed his hand on my shoulder again, and gave me a sad look.

"Well, I have to go, I'll call you, I'll be there if you need anything ok?" he sincerely said and I just nodded with a faint smile on my face. Knowing I have someone to talk to just in case, which makes me feel 10 times better already. Mei pulled me into a short hug and then walked away which his coach. Me and Aniki just walked in silence, which I was grateful for. He took out his phone and placed it to his ear.

"Yes everything is fine. Yes. Yes. I will explain everything later, just get all of the players on the bus, we will leave in around 10 minutes. " And with that he hung up and placed the phone back into his pocket. I'm guessing it was Rei-san.

We reached the car park and after about 5 minutes I saw Driver Lee's car. "Okay, Aniki, I'm going home now, I probably wont be in club activities for a few days." I waved, not really looking for a response.

"Are you going to be ok, Kyoko?" He asked a bit awkwardly, well I don't blame him, I wouldn't really know what to do in this situation either. I simply nodded and sat in the  back of the car. 

"Are you going home Miss Kyoko?" Driver Lee asked and I said a simple yes and he got from my response I really wasn't in the mood for a response. 

Once I got home, I just went straight to bed and decided to watch anime ignoring the vibrations of my phone going off.

It had been 2 days since I even checked my phone, but I thought it was time to get my shit together. I checked my notifications to see I had 5 missed calls and 7 text from Mei. 2 missed calls from Kazuya and Aniki and 1 missed call from my mother. I mentally sighed and called her back, knowing she was not going to happy with me once she answers.

After 3 rings, the phone has been answered and there was an awkward moment of silence until I hear her cold voice on the other end of the phone. "Oh, so I finally see your ready to speak to me." 

"Sorry, Mother- I haven't checked my phone." I reply in my horrible engrish. 

After about 5 minutes of her complaining at me, she finally brought up what I didn't want to hear.

"You will quit your basketball/baseball whatever team, I don't want you involved with people like that. You were lucky that nothing happened, but I'm not allowing you to take that chance again. This is an order. Do you understand me?"

I couldn't retort, all I could do was slightly respond with a 'yes'. 

"Okay, good." She didn't say anything else and just hung up. Well I'm used to it now.

I got in the shower and quickly got dried and dressed and made my way to Seido. I would be telling Aniki at lunch about my situation, no way would I be quitting but maybe just doing some things behind the scenes for a while like analyzing scores and future opponents. 

I made my way into school and saw some people eyeing my funny. What the hell is up with that? Is there something on my face? 

When I got to the lockers my heart sank and I almost felt tears escape from my eyes...
