The Way of The Pack

A New Family Part:2

Lara's POV: Ben and I raced each other to the lake. I beat him there by a few seconds. "Let's sit down." He offered gesturing to bench. I smiled and sat beside him as we talked. He told me about how he got lost, and told me about his old pack. I told him he might be able to join our pack but, it's up to the alphas. Ben got up and grabbed something than walked back to where we were sitting. "I got you something." He whispered then held out his hands, he held a beautiful light pink flower. I knew I recognized the flower, it was a water lillie. I took it and my cheeks turned the same color as the flower.

Anna's POV: I was loving being alpha. I got to do whatever I wanted, whenever. I even got to push around the others that bothered me, the only thing was I didn't have full control of the pack. If Fan was gone it would be my kingdom, with all of them bowing down to me! Imagine how wonderful that would be! I would kill the worthless ones, and ruin all their lives. That gives me an idea for a plan. I smirked and wrote up a list of stuff I need for the plan.

Lilly's POV: I was in the game room with Blaze, playing pin ball. I won every time, then he said "Bet you can't beat me at air hockey!" I laughed and agreed. We slammed the puck against the wall a lot. Then, Jamie and Fan came in. "Hey, Jam. Hi, Fan." "Go Lilly!" Jam chanted. " Go Blaze!" Fan shouted. I laughed and missed. The final score was, 10-6 Blaze won and the guys danced in victory. Jam and I laughed at their lame attempts at dancing. "We'll show you how it's done!" we said in unison. We turned it into a dance contest girls vs. boys. Lara and Ben joined us and I had to admit they were great dancers. Afterwards we called it a tie and started a game of truth or dare. "Lilly, truth or dare?" Lara asked with a smile. I smiled back and replied with "Dare!"

She smirked and said "I dare you to ask out someone here!" "What do you do if you don't do the dare?" "You have to go in the lake for 3 minutes." "Okay fine.I'll go in the lake!" 

I asked Lara," Truth or dare?" "Dare." I smiled mischievously and replied "Okay. I dare you to kiss someone here!" Her eyes widened and she looked upset. "You gotta do it!" She sighed and snapped "I know!" Then she smiled and whispered "I don't have to! I can go in the lake." I looked at her shocked. "No! Just do the dare!" She was stubborn and said "No." She agreed to go in the lake with me. They used the lake as punishment for treason. Few people have survived the lake and the last survivor was 20 years ago. My mother was punished for dating a guy in a different pack. They put her in the lake and she didn't come up for 10 minutes. Her body floated up and they pulled her ashore. Her lips were blue, her body was pale and her eyes were glassy. I was about seven or eight, coming out of the house after studying with Nina. *Flashback* I spent the evening studying with Nina, and learning new things. I rushed outside to chase animals and I heard a loud commotion. A bunch of the elders were in a circle,surrounding the lake. I saw some familiar people and pushed my way to the front to see what they were looking at. It was a wolf with dark gray fur, brown eyes. Except it was blue, the dark eyes with a colder look than normal, and they didn't seem to blink. I wouldn't have cared. Except I knew her. Rather well, actually. Her name was Lola Rose Cameron. The tears ran down my cheeks as soon as I saw her. "We should bury her." an elder stated. I ran in front of her. "My Mother! That's my mother!" I sobbed and  I rested my head on her stomach. "Kill her!" the crowd shouted. A large man began walking toward me. He was about two steps away when the elder declared "Nonsense! We shouldn't punish this child for something that's not her fault! She will live in this pack! She will live a difficult life but no less this girl will live! She won't have a family to turn to in time of need! Who will teach her?" Of course it was a rhetorical question so, no one should have an answer but, my friends stepped forward. Nina,Fan,Jamie, & Anna. They were the only other young wolves born into the pack. I cried until they ripped me away from my mother and the elder was right that my life would be difficult but, I'm up to facing it. *Flashback ends* I feel like I just went through my past and whole life up until now.
