Chapter 6.

Jessica looked at Matt, that's all she could do. The words couldn't come out. "Jess I am.. I am so sorry." She nodded staring at him. "Say something." Grayson walked in and looked at the two of them. "Hey are you friends again?" Jess was taken out of her state of shock by her boyfriend, she turned back to him and nodded. "Closer than ever." Grayson's smiled and kissed her forehead. "I am so happy." Matt smiled quickly and nervously. "We are too. Hey I'm gonna head home. I'll call you later Jess." She nodded, waving at him.

After Matt left Jessica grabbed Grayson's shirt and locked lips with him. He was taken back only because this was the first time she'd made a move on him in weeks. His hands gripped her hips backing her up against the wall, moving his lips to her neck as she let out a quiet moan, he grinned and nipped at her skin. Then the worst thing that could've happened to Jessica, did. She smiled at the time until she moaned out. "Matt.." Grayson stopped his actions and looked at her. "Huh?" Her eyes widen and looked around the room and bit her lip nervously. "Jess.." The hurt in Grayson's voice broke her, she sighed and held his hand. "I am so sorry, I guess I had a lot on my mind. I'm sorry, G." He nodded and walked into the kitchen. Jessica slapped her forehead. "You idiot." She mumbled following him.  "Grayson?" He turned and looked at her. "I'm not mad, you don't have to stand so far away."

"Trust me, it's best if I do." He looked at her furrowing his eyebrows. "What?" Sighing she sat on a bar stool. "Promise you won't get mad." He nodded, shrugging his shoulders. "Say I promise, Grayson."   "I promise." He spoke looking at her biting a slice of pizza. "Keep in mind, there have been a lot of emotions going on these past few weeks and I just don't want you to get mad." Jessica took a deep breath and sighed. "Matt kissed me."

"He what?" Grayson sat the pizza down. "Why? When?" Jess walked over and stood in front of him. "Baby, it was nothing I promise." He rolled his eyes. "You moaned his name. Don't you tell me it was nothing. How could you let him kiss you!" He pointed the blame at Jess, she gasped and looked up. "Grayson! I didn't! It just happened." He chuckled. "Yeah that kind of stuff doesn't just happen Jessica. You liked it obviously." He grabbed his hoodie. "I have a game tomorrow I'll see you whenever." She stood there hurt watching him slam the door she jumped at the violent act upon her door. Did she just lose the only man she loves? She sat on the couch and sobbed softly.

It was gameday, today it was Duke vs Elon. Jessica rode to the game with a few friends and sat down and looked at Grayson and he looked down. He wasn't in the right state to play ball. He was so angry. During the game, Gray looked up at Jessica and once they were down the court Grayson tripped the boy from Elon, everyone booed. Jessica jumped up seeing the technical and how he got really angry. She grabbed everything and ran over to the side of the bench. Listening to his yelling. "Baby! Stop! Grayson, look back here." He turned and frowned Jess knew he was in a bad place. "I love you. Stop that mess." He nodded and went to the locker room at half time.

Once they were home, Grayson laid on the couch, Luke sat in the kitchen and Jessica laid on Grayson. "I'm sorry, I wanted to be better." She quieted him by kissing him softly. "Stop, I know you are. I think it's best if you're suspended." He looked at her nodding. "I love you, Allen. That's never gonna change. I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you. Ignore the idiots from ESPN. They don't know you." He smiled and slowly fell asleep under his girlfriend.  She sat and worried about everything that will go down. 'Allen mentally unstable.' 'Grayson Allen should be kicked out of college.' 'Punish him- Grayson Allen.' She looked back at Luke and frowned. "How do I protect him Luker?" He shrugged and looked down at the sleeping beauty. "I don't know Jesser, just be there."

Matt texted a few times asking about Grayson, Jess replied saying he was okay just super angry with himself. Grayson woke up only to move to the bedroom with Jessica. "Don't leave, I need you more than ever." She nodded, she knew that was true. "I need your love, I need your hugs, I need you." He wiped his eyes and Jess laid next to him. "I love you. I'm not leaving you, ever." Grayson kissed her gently, she tried boosting his confidence a little by letting his hands run over her lower stomach and he flipped them over with weak smile. That night Grayson let his frustrations on Jess, she knew that she wasn't going to be able to walk for a few hours, into the next day.
