Nobody was allowed to see her. Jessica was in her own room, finally family was allowed to come in and visit Jess. Luke walked in and sat next to his sister, Lauren doing the same thing. "I can't see her, her first hour of her life is occupied by doctors running tests, and being hooked up to machines." Lauren squeezed Jessica's hand, she didn't want to hear her sister talk like this. "Listen, Laurel Grayce is the definition of stubborn, I mean, she's a Kennard/ Allen, for goodness sakes. She's not gonna give up." Luke smiled and agreed with Lauren. "Yeah Jess, if she's anything like you, she will probably start swinging." All three began to chuckle at Luke's comment, Jess felt better once talking to her sibling. Grayson had left to go watch them run their tests. "She's so tiny." Jessica said swallowing hard. "My little itty bitty baby."

After a few hours Grayson walked into the room, walking over to Jessica he placed a kiss on her head. "Have I ever told you, that you're the most beautiful woman on this earth?" Jessica blushed slapping his hand away playfully. "Stop it." Grayson chuckled and laid next to her, rubbing her arm. "We did a great job with that little girl. The doctor said she's trying to work on her own it's just that she's not ready to do it by herself." Grayson explained the situation. "They want to provide her some assistance for a few weeks, she should be home before we play Florida State, for Senior Night." Jessica smiled hearing those words, she was ready to sit on the couch with her daughter just to watch Grayson play ball. "I can't wait." Jess said squeezing his hand. Grayson kissed her lips and let Jessica rest her head on him.

March 9th, 2017 - Day Before UNC/Duke3.

Laurel was home, she was an amazing baby, she sleeps through the night, kind of, she loves her daddy, she is still so itty bitty, both Grayson and Jessica are afraid of breaking her. Grayson was currently in Brooklyn for the ACC Tournament. He facetimed Jessica multiple times, he just wanted to see that baby girl who had him wrapped around her finger. "Hey princess, daddy misses you so much." Grayson would say with a smile. "Aye, don't forget her uncles!" Jessica heard Amile say. "We got her some things while we were here." Matt also chimed in. Jessica smiled and Laurel was of course sleeping. The guys all passed around Grayson's phone so they could see the precious baby. It reached Grayson and Jessica flipped the phone around. "Hey Queen." His smile hadn't left his face. Hers slowly appeared on her lips. "Hey G." She said softly walking out of the room with the sleeping baby. "I swear I don't know if I can stay away from you guys for much longer. I miss you girls so much. I miss my family."

Jessica smiled and nodded her head. "Your family misses you. She isn't really sleeping though the night but I thinks it's because she misses you." Gray nodded in agreement with his girlfriend. "I'm not sleeping either. I feel like I'm needed there." Jess smiled and stuck her tongue out. "You areneeded my love but we can wait two more days. I'm doing good by myself." He smiled and heard Laurel cry, even those were music to his ears. Everything about his daughter was perfect, except her clothes being too baggy on her. "Gray, I'm gonna go make Laur a bottle. I'll call you tomorrow morning and let you see her." He nodded and took screenshots of the woman he loved. "Alright, beautiful. I'll talk to you tomorrow. I love you Jessica." Jess smiled and winked at him. "I love you too, Grayson."

UNC/Duke3-

They were down by seven at the half, Jessica had yelled at her television until she was blue in the face. Laurel slept through it all. Jessica went to check on the precious baby girl that shared a room with Grayson and herself at the moment, she was sleeping so good, but she knew at around twelve thirty she would wake Jessica up and keep her up for hours, all because Grayson isn't here. Jess walked into the living room and Duke had taken the lead. "What the heck?" Her arms folded and the shocked expression stayed plastered to her face up to the buzzer. Ten points. T-e-n.  One- zero. Duke beat Carolina by ten points. Jessica was ecstatic and waited for her nightly call. To say Grayson was exhausted was an understatement, he was tired, and so sore. Also, he missed his beautiful girl friend and perfect daughter. The FaceTime rang and it was moments until Jessica's face popped up on his phone. "How the heck?" Was her question, chuckling, Grayson shrugged his broad shoulders. "I wish I could tell you." It was hard fought that's for sure. But nothing, could take away either of their excitement for the Championship Game. "I'm so proud of you. I can't wait to see you on Sunday." Jessica said with a pour. "Tell me about it baby girl. I wish I were home now." Grayson spoke laying on the bed almost instantly falling asleep. "Aw, babe. Get some rest. You'll see munchkin tomorrow morning."

Notre Dame-  Championship Game.
They were winning, Jessica was proud. They lost their lead when the second half started. But of course the boys came back and the BIG shot by Matty Ice had Jessica jumping for joy. The end of the game and the guys were champions. Best part was they were coming home now! Jessica couldn't wait to see her man, she just wanted to hug him and not let go. Grayson texted when the plane landed so that gave about fifteen minutes for him to get home. Last night Jessica's mom and dad (mom and dad Kennard.) came in. Her mother has been so much help since last night to this very moment.  Laurel has been fussy, irritated, and just tired Jess would assume. "She was up all night after the game mom, when you walked in the doors she had been awake for hours before." Jessica ran her fingers through her hair in frustration, when Grayson is here he always knows what to do, he always knows how to keep her calm, and right now Jessica, and Laurel, both need him.

About twenty or so minutes later Grayson walked into the house, Laurel was crying so of course that's who he went to see first. Once she was in her fathers arms, the crying stop Gray shushed her while rocking/ bouncing his way over to his girlfriend. Jessica's hands rested on his lips as they kissed, it was the first time in a week that they were able to do so. "I missed you so much!" He told her as they pulled apart, smiling to one another. He looked down to the, now, sleeping baby in his arms. "I missed you baby girl, so much. Daddy is so sorry he had to leave you." Jessica smiled and watched the way he talked to her. "So how long do we have until the guys come over to see their niece?" Grayson thought about it, he exaggerated the length of the thought process while laying Laurel down in her play pen. "I would say soon, but I don't know. Luke should be home shortly." As he said those words Luke walked in and walked past his parents, past his sisters, past Grayson, and straight to the play pen. "Hey little Laur, boy I sure did miss you. Next time Uncle Luke will have to take you with him." Jessica laughed and watched his brother with his niece. "Nice to see you too Jess. I missed you too Jess." Jessica spoke in a somewhat Guy voice and looked around. "That would've been nice." Luke glanced back  to Jessica and stood straight up. "Nice too see you Jess. I missed you Jess. Happy now?" He went back to leaning over the crib talking to the baby.

For a little while, Grayson and Jessica got time alone, he kissed her softly. "I missed you, it's weird not having you in the stands." Jessica nodded in agreement and cuddled into his chest. "I miss being in the stands. Maybe next year when she's older." They both laid there for a minute quietly, and exhaustion hit them like a bus, and both fell asleep.
