Japan's POV:

It's snowing.

It's snowing.

It's snowing.

I looked out of my window. Sure enough, fluffy flakes of white were floating down, drifting one way and another, held captive by the gentle wind. My garden had been blanketed with a sheet of frost. Even the pond had frozen over. I sighed. I used to love snow.

Going out into the freezing cold armed with a thick coat, I walked around, inspecting the garden. Almost everything had frozen over. The ground was covered with frost, and so were the leafless trees.

I reached the frozen pond and looked into it. A man with short black hair and brown eyes stared back at me. The ice would be too thin to ice skate at this time, although looks could be deceiving.

Speaking of deceiving looks, my vision began to waver as my reflection changed. I saw a young boy looking up at me, with short black hair and brown eyes. He seemed shy and introverted, the way his eyes didn't speak their emotions. I began to smile. This was the child version of me! I remembered the first time I saw a frozen pond and I chuckled.

Another boy appeared in the pond. He was older than the first child, with bright eyes and a ponytail draping over his right shoulder.

I frowned. This wasn't right. Why am I seeing visions in the pond?

Although the older boy rang a bell in my head, I couldn't pinpoint who it was. The older boy seemed to be speaking to the younger boy, his mouth moving, but no sound coming out. Their images flickered in and out, like watching those old movies without a soundtrack.

Then the older boy looked up and waved cheerily at me. I gasped.

Could it be him?

(Cliffhanger...Short chapter this time becuz I posted a long one the last time. Haha, pranked! Well this is my first time writing a Japan POV so I hope I don't mess it up...but I think maybe Japan is easier to personify then China? Oh well...TNT out:)
