Chapter 5

Sunday went by fast, Katy and I had opened my schedule only to find out that we had all the same classes.

1st period: First year Italian

2nd period: World History

3rd period: Biology

4th period: Sculpting

Lunch

5th period: History 1300-1890

6th period: History 1890-1950

Dinner

"Wonder why there's not math or English?" I wondered out loud.

"Well there is Italian, but math is not in the school's curriculum. As far as I know there are no math professors here. I love it! I am horrible at math." She said to me.

We went walking around so I could see what rooms my classes were in. Even though we had them all together I wanted to know ahead of time just in case I ran late the first day.

"Oh did I mention there might be a surprise waiting in some of our classes that you will like." She said to me with a smile.

I don't like surprises so I am wondering what she is talking about. It wasn't until we walked into biology the next day that I knew what she meant. My first two classes were really great. I love my Italian class the professor's name is Robert Shilling. He is fluent in Italian and made me learn how to say hello my name is Sophie Miller in front of the class. Little to say I was not great, but he told me that no one is good when first starting a new language. In world history I get to learn about everything around the world. Being a werewolf I have an amazing memory. I walked in on werewolf legends day. I was seated in the back and smiling, because most of these legends are so stupid. Like werewolves are hairless mutants that change only on a full moon.

We are able to change whenever we want to. The professor began to mention that werewolves hunt humans, but we do not hunt humans that is a great way to get killed. We go on hunts for animals, I love hunting deer they make the chase fun. Our professor James Bell asked for our comments and of course being the new student he called on me first.

"Sophie what do you think about these werewolf legends?" he asked me.

"Honestly I think they dumb. I don't see why people think of them as a hairless creature that just seems gross. They could be normal people who are able to change into a wolf. I don't think they should be thought of as monsters or freaks. Also why would they hunt humans, they could be killed by them." I replied with a hint of frustration. I didn't mean to sound rude but it all came out before I could think.

"Uh thank you Sophie, I would never have thought of it that way." He said to me.

Fuck why did I have to open my mouth. On my way to biology Katy caught up with me. I didn't realize I walked out of the class so fast once the bell rang. She looked very excited for some reason, and wouldn't say anything to me when I looked at her strange. When we walked into the room I saw what she was talking about yesterday. Bryan was in our class, and the professor ended up sitting me next to him.

"Hey" I said to him as I sat down.

"Hi" he replied at me with a huge smile. "Look what the cat drug in"

I was about to reply then the professor set down a cat in front of us. "God I hate cats this should be really fun." I said. I picked up the scalpel and began to slice the cat from his chin to his butt. Then opened him up so we could study his organs. Bryan took out all of them and laid them on the table. The formaldehyde smelled so strong that my nose was burning. My heightened smell was not going to be working well for the next few hours. Then I noticed Bryan was touching my hand, and my arm exploded with a tingling sensation. I loved this feeling, I had never felt this before that I remember. I wanted more of it I wanted to be closer to him all of a sudden. When I looked up from our hands he had a tinder smile on his face. I felt that I could trust him which is not like me I only trust my pack members. I hadn't realized we had already finished class until I noticed Katy standing next to my desk.

I looked down at the cat then at my watch. "Don't worry Soph ill clean it up." Bryan said to me.

"Thank you." Was all I could manage to say.

I followed Katy outside on our way to our nest class. "Katy he just called me Soph!" I exclaimed happily.

"I know I can't believe it! Did he say anything else during class?" She asked me.

"Ya he touched my hand and gave me a kind smile which made my insides turn to mush. But something in my gut is telling me to stay away from him. I can't figure it out." I said to her.

"Nice, well I would say just see how things start to play out, you never know what's going to happen." She said to me. "Oh and there is a few more surprises waiting for us by the way."

We went to sculpting class and I got to catch up on what all they had covered so far in the semester. Which ended up being very boring. Lunch came quickly and let me out of that class. Katy and I headed back to our room, and I saw Sky walking out of another building. She looked like she was mad but I didn't know what about she hadn't talked to me since we got here. It only been a few days since we arrived but it felt like forever. Back in our room we had gotten burgers from Hunter Hall and they were so good! After a while we had to head to our next class. Katy lead the way, I had a feeling the surprise she was talking about was Bryan. When we got to History I saw I was correct.

I sat down with Katy and he got up and came to sit next to us. "Are you stalking me?" He asked.

"If only you were as important as you thought." I said back to him.

"Oh and how do you know I'm not?" He replied with a sly look on his face.

"Because of the way you walk around here you only talk to a few people including me, people avoid walking near you, and you are too hot not to have a girlfriend." I said to him without thinking.

"So you have been watching me?" He asked with a smile. God his smile was to die for.

"I....Um...No....I" I was at a complete loss of words.

"Well I am not the only guilty one here. You are hard not to look at. Oh and ya I am hot." He said to me while laughing.

I couldn't help but laugh with him, I was getting used to his sense of humor. My history class went by pretty fast and them it was time for my next one. I had a feeling he would be in that one as well.
