My Life in Snapshots: Kacey's Story

Chapter 33

Just two more chapters before the book is finished!! WOW!! I cannot believe I just wrote all that. lol So yesterday I tried to donate blood at the red cross blood drive yesterday. It went wrong and ended up not donating blood. Which meant I have a nasty and hurtful blue, purple, red bruise on my arm. :( I know, sad day.....anyways, here's chapter 33!!

 For some reason when I woke up this morning, I couldn’t breathe. What was wrong with me? I started coughing so loud that Alexia came in my room.

“Can’t breathe.” I managed to get out.

Alexia grabbed my phone, called 911 and someone else. It was probably Logan, well I hope it was.

Five minutes later the ambulance arrived and there were paramedics around my bed. Then minutes after they arrived Logan came in my room panicky. 

The paramedics did something to me. I don’t know what because they gave me medicine to fall asleep. I woke up and I could breathe better than I did before. There were moments that I skipped a breath but I was alright.

Waking up, I saw Logan right there by my side. He was playing with my hair that would always get in my face.

“I’m glad you are alright.” he said sweetly.

“So am I.” I tried laughing but I ended up coughing.

“Slow down there turbo.” Logan joked handing me a glass of water.

“What happened to me?”

“Well they said your air pipe closed from an allergic reaction. Kacey, you’re allergic to pizza.”

“But we ate pizza at Chuck E Cheese. I didn’t have an allergic reaction to it.” I whined. 

“Kacey you’re fine. They just said that eating pizza that one night aggravated it, and then eating it again last night is what set it off. You will be fine Kacey. Just take the pills they gave you and it will go away. In the mean time you can’t eat pizza anymore.”

I just closed my eyes and started to take deep breaths.

“What about Taryn or Alexia?” I asked him.

“I took them both to school. They were really scared about you, but I told them if something else happened I would go get them.”

“Oh. I’m sorry if I scared you, or even the fact you’re missing school.”

“I don’t care that I’m missing school. I’m already ahead of everyone else. I just want to be with you, and you only.” he said as he held me, sitting down on my bed.

“Well I’m glad you are here with me.” I smiled as I nuzzled my head in his shoulder.

“I’m glad that you are in my arms safe and sound.” he said kissing my head.

Now this is what I’m talking about. Me being in his arms, falling asleep. Minus the fact I am now allergic to pizza, which sucks because I love pizza.

I fell asleep in Logan’s arms for a few hours before he started moving letting me go.

“Don’t leave me.” I whispered.

“I’m not leaving you. I just need to go to the bathroom.” he said making his way to my bathroom.

I didn’t say anything but close my eyes and I dozed back into my dreams. I didn’t have any dreams though. Just the boring nothing dreams.
