This was it. This was the time to start a new beginning for myself. I was all packed and ready to leave but I didn’t want to leave my sisters. I was at Logan’s house dropping my sisters off with their stuff.

“Kacey don’t cry, we will be fine.” Alexia said.

“I just cant believe I’m leaving you guys. I’ve never left you before.” I said crying.

“Don’t be sad, be happy.” Taryn said making us all laugh.

“I will call you when I get there.” I told them.

“The both of you better get there safe.” Hayden said. I was happy that Logan was going with me.

“We will mom.” Logan said.

“We should probably get going, we don’t want to miss our flight.” I told them even though I’d rather stay with my sisters longer.

“Bye Kacey, I love you so much.” Taryn said.

“I love you too Taryn.”

“I’m going to miss you. You’ve done so much for me, for us, and I’m going to miss having you around.” Alexia said crying.

“You’re going to make me cry.” I told her laughing. “Bye Hayden.” I told her.

“Bye sweetie. I know you’ll knock those photographers down with your talent.” she smiled.

“I hope so.” I smiled then I hugged Lauren. “I will miss you Lauren.” I signed to her.

The last two weeks here I learned a few signs. I wanted to sign to her before I left.

She jumped up and down with a surprised look. It looked like she didn’t think I could sign to her. Lauren gave me a tight hug and then it was time to go.

“Bye!” I yelled out the window as Logan drove the van.

That’s when it hit me, I didn’t know leaving would be so depressing to me.

“You’ll be okay. You can call them when we get into town.” Logan said realizing I was crying so he held my hand as he drove to the airport.

We got our ticket and now it was up to the plane leaving. I took some bags with me on the plane while the rest of my stuff was coming on a separate plane.

“Now boarding Olustee, California.” the voice on the intercom said.

“Let’s go, our future awaits.” Logan said smiling as we walked to our exit.

I was sitting in the chair when I broke down in tears. Leaving was really hard for me considering I grew up in Locust, Colorado. Logan was already pulling me to his side, wiping my tears away.

“It’s okay Kacey. Why don’t you sleep to get your mind off things.” he suggested.

“Okay, that sounds like a good idea.” I said putting my head against his shoulder as his arms wrapped around my body.

I was all grown up, going to college, leaving with my boyfriend. I didn’t think I would be here if it weren’t for Logan, my sisters or anyone else that encouraged me to becoming a great photographer.
