Next Steps

(Melissa's POV)

Its been one week since Sam and Kurt left for there tour. Avi and I still haven't figured out what to do about that label offer Avi got... Avi was out of the house, I don't remember if we mention that we moved into a house... But we did. I was home alone with the kids. Sam and Mae are basically best friends they love each other and that's very good cause last time I checked Sam's kids hate each other! Like Eric will pull on Scott's hair and Jay will laugh at them so Eric and Scott would attack him. On papers I am Jay, Scott's and Eric's sister... But we don't consider it that way. We consider Sam my brother cause that would make more sense. I was sitting in the house the kids were sleeping and I was debating weather or not to go visit Kathryn... What do I do?! You know what... I called babysitter they came in a couple mins. I left my house and drove to Kathryn's. I pull up at her drive way and knock on the door, she answered

"Oh Melissa! I haven't seen you in a while!" She said

"Umm yea... Can we talk?" I ask

"Of course! Did something happen?" Kathryn asked while stepping aside so I could walk in

"A lot happened!" I said

We walked to her living, she sat across from me and we began to talk

"So what is it?" Kathryn asked

I sigh

"Well... OK. So Avi got this label invitation.." I began

"That's awesome!" Kathryn says

"But the place is in L.A" I added

"Oh... That's in the U.S..." Kathryn said

"We don't want to leave Toronto, we don't wanna leave you guys, we don't wanna leave our lives and just move there!" I started to tear up "We don't know what to do and we need help but we were scared to ask and and--" I get cut off

At this point I'm crying

"Hey its OK! We're here to support you all the way! Its not a huge problem! We can figure this out! I thought it was gonna be a problem like oh we are having a third kid!!! And you we don't know what to do" Kathryn exclaimed

I looked at her

"But it is like that..." I say

Kathryn gives me this confused glance

"Wait a minute...." She began "are you saying that your-"

I cut her off

"Pregnant? Yup! Its a baby boy coming in 6 ish months" I said finishing her sentence

"Those two together are a problem.. You can't move while you have the baby.... Its safer to stay here for now..." Kathryn exclaimed

"I know..." I say

"Do you have to give an answer to the label soon?" She asked

"They said take your time... They gave us a year" I replied

"That's a very long time!!!" Kathryn exclaimed

"Yea..." I say

"Well for now. Go get some rest, you don't have to worry about the record label for a while... I'll figure something out and then I'll tell you. Now as I said rest! That baby is probably very tired!!

"Thank you so much Kathryn!" I tell her

"Your welcome sweetheart" Kathryn says back

I get up and give her a hug, even though she is only like six years older then me... She's like a mom figure... And a sister.... And a friend.. And I don't know where I would be without her.
