(Kurt's POV)
We've been on tour for about two weeks, and everything has been going smoothly. Sam seems to be getting addicted to wine.... Its kinds scary, every hotel he finds it in he will drink it. One glass is OK.. I guess. But Sam has been drinking up to three glasses at once... I'm getting worried cause last thing I need is for Sam to become an alcoholic. He keeps on telling me its OK and that he's responsible... Anyways so we're in Chicago! So that means we are going to see Melissa again! The one we saw at the Halifax concert. Surprisingly she was the only person who showed up to the meet and greet...
"Sam where is everyone else? The Chicago meet and greet is sold out.." I say out loud
"Cause I bought all the tickets" Melissa said while smiling at us
Sam and I started laughing
Anyways Melissa, Sam and I had a chat about music, choir stuff like that
After the meet and greet we did the show! It was amazing! The crowd went wild! We invited Melissa on stage and then gave her a bunch of our merchandise! Then we dedicated the entire show to her. After that we also followed her on all her social medias. As I said the show was pretty good.
Sam and I head back into our dressing rooms... The weird changes in Sam are really starting to freak me out... Like the politeness he always possessed is slowly starting to decrease... The kindness is drifting away.. What makes Sam... Sam, is slowly leaving him. I'm exactly sure what it Is... But something is changing him. We went back to our hotel to sleep for the night. Sam and I facetimed our families and then went to bed. The next morning I wake up to find Sam not sleeping in the bed next to mine...
"Sam?" I quietly said half confused
I get up to have a look for Sam.
"Sam!" I yelled
I knocked on the washroom door, no one answered. I opened the washroom door and no one was there... I got a little worried.... Well Sam is a grown adult, I guess he doesn't have to tell me where he goes... But its weird when we lived together he would always leave a note saying he would be home at a certain time... Anyways I calmed down and did some work on my laptop. As I work I hear someone opening the door, I tilt head up and stare at the door. Then as it opens Sam walks in. He closes the door, takes of his shoes and walks into the bathroom.
"This is sick!" I hear him say
He walks out the washroom and grabs a coke from the mini fridge then sits on his bed and scrolls through his phone.
"Ummm hello" I say to him
"Hi" he says not looking up
"Mind telling me where you were?" I ask
"Does it really concern you?" Sam asked me
That's the first time I've heard something like that from Sam
"Yes it does" I answer to him
Sam sighs
"I was at a tattoo parlor" he said
"Doing what?" I ask
"What does it sound like idiot, what do you do at a tattoo parlor? Use some common sense" Sam said
I was shocked Sam has never said something like that before
"Wait you got a tattoo?" I asked
"Mhm" Sam answered again not looking up
Sam got a tattoo? He was totally against them all his life... This was so spontaneous! Like Sam has never talked about or even mention about getting a tattoo. Something's up.
"Can I see it?" I said while kind of stuttering
"What ever" Sam said
He scooted over and showed me his wrist. It was actually a really sweet tattoo in small black letters it said "Kathryn. Jason." On the top. On the bottom it said "Scott. Eric." Right below all that it said "Melissa" I looked at him. He looks at me.
"Um. It looks nice" I said
Its meaningful sure but its not something the Sam I knew would do.
"I'm gonna go grab myself lunch" Sam said
He put on his shoes
"Be back before 5:30 pm" I said "We have a flight to catch"
"Mhm" Sam said without looking at me
Opened the door and left.
This isn't the Sam I knew and called my brother... This isn't the Sam I also died with.. This isn't the Sam that adopted a kid, married the love of his life, and started a real family. No. This is the Sam I feared our Sam would become.
