(Kurt's POV)
I awake to a noise of a siren and voices around me. My vision is still blurry I cant see clearly, I see figures that look like people but I had no clue who they were or what they needed from me.
"Kurt James Williams!" Yelled a female voice right at my face
I have a huge head ache
"KURT JAMES WILLIAMS" screamed the voice
That's when I closed my eyes.
I wake in what seems to me as seconds.
I'm laying in a white hospital bed with medicine pumping into me. I tilt my head around to see the room. In the bottom corner Robert was sitting in a chair sleeping.
"Robert?" I say
Robert jumped out of his chair
"On dude I didn't mean to scare you!" I apologize
"No no, its ok. Its just its really late and I needed my sleep" he said to me
As he stretched and yawned
"What time is it?" I ask
Robert turns in his phone and has a look at it "6 am"
Woah.. That's almost 12 hours...
"How long have you been here?" I asked
"Since you got here" he answered
I tried to recall how I got here
"Mind explaining how I ended up here?" I asked
Robert got comfortable in his chair
He cleared his throat and began to talk
"So you were talking to Sam, Sam got mad and he pushed you. You tripped on a brick and that sent you flying into the pool. On your way your prosthetic leg slammed against the side of the pool which caused it to break of. Your foot also caught a table which followed you to the bottom of the pool. Your lost consciousness and we called 911. Now we are here."
I looked down at my legs and found only my real one there.
"Crap" I whispered
I had a really big head ache
"Dude am I OK?" I asked Robert
"Well you did get a concussion... But I'll let you decide" He answered
"Very funny" I say to him
I sigh, How is it possible that I come so close to death so many times?! Like I had an asthma attack in 5th grade, the fire from when I was 17, The fire from when I was in my late 20's where everyone thought I died. Am I missing anything? I think I lost count.
"Anyways, your lucky that your performance isn't until next week here" Robert told me
I rolled my eyes and sigh
"What's the matter Kurt?" Robert asked
"I'm tired of pretending Robert" I say to him "I have to pretend like Sam isn't ignoring me and treating me like crap."
He put his hand on my shoulder
"I think I know some people who can make you feel better" He said
Robert turns his head to the door, I do the same.
"Come in!" Robert yells
The door opens and a women and four kids are walk in. A smile appears on my face, these are the only people I wanna see right now.. These people were Alisha and my children.
"Honey.." Alisha says
She walks over to my hospital bed and gives me a hug
"I'll give you two a moment" Robert says then leaves the room
Alisha gives me a kiss and then sits in a chair next to me
"What are you doing here?" I asked her confused
"Robert called us telling us that you got severely hurt" She began "We caught the next flight here and flew over. We landed and hour ago"
I teared up. My family came to visit me from across the world!
"Shhh Kurt don't cry" Alisha says while wiping away my tears
She smiles at me.
"Dad!" I turn my head to see Levi jump on tip of me
"Levi be carful!" Alisha insisted
"Hey buddy!" I say while give him a hug
"Dad I missed you" Levi says to me while raising his head
"I missed you too bud" I answer then squeeze him back into a hug
"Who did this too you?" Alisha asked
I turned my head to look at her
"Robert wouldnt tell us"
I sighed
"It- It was-" I stuttered
"Spill it out Kurt!" Alisha insisted
I closed my eyes, inhaled and said it
"Sam"
I exhaled while saying it
Alisha look to the side, closed her eyes and bit her lip. I saw a tear crawl down her face
She starts nodding her head
"I need to talk to him" she said to me
She got up and grabbed her purse.
"Don't leave..." I say
She looks at me and puts her purse down. She bent down and kissed my forehead.
"But you have some more visitors" she said to me
"What?" I say confused
"Their still on there way here, but they are gonna land in about an hour. The kids are starving so I have to go get them food. We promise that we'll come back!" She told me
"Ok go then" I whispered to her
She got the kids and they head out the door. Right before Alisha left the room she whispered just enough so I could hear her.
"I love you"
"I love you more" I whispered back
