Levi Ackerman
This place is an absolute madhouse. Every morning, I'm up an hour before Saichi. I only know when she's awake when she yells for Aki to get over to his side of the bed. It follows him going into the bathroom with Maki for their bath. She comes down after her shower and eats before heading out to work at the hospital. I travel with the two cats to the school then have a break from them when they aren't in my class. This is only during the week. I have to put up with them on the weekends unless they have baseball practice.
I decide to use them to find out more about Saichi. I need to know if she's changed from before or if she's exactly the same. If I'm not mistaken, she hasn't changed much. I also hope her past is extremely different.
I'm cooking in the kitchen when the front door opens and Saichi comes in. She's panting and covered in sweat, not very stable on her feet. She almost falls over while trying to take off her shoes. "Saichi!" I run to her side and stabilize her. There's this extremely sweet scent coming from her body. I've never smelled this before. "Are you okay?"
She breathes, sitting in the entrance. "I'm fine, Levi. I'm sorry for being trouble to you. My heat came a day early."
Heat? The door opens again and in steps a man. He must be Dimitrius. I can only guess that based on his appearance Lance described on a prior occasion. Dimitrius is a tall, slim young man with short dark blonde hair and hazel eyes. He's the informant Saichi has mentioned previously. He takes off his shoes and waves. "You must be Levi," he says. "If you're here, I shouldn't have to help her when she's in heat anymore."
Saichi slowly stands, clenching her fist in her short. "Shut up... Help me already..."
Dimitrius chuckles, scooping her into his arms. "Of course, Saichi."
He walks past me and the scent slowly fades as he carries her upstairs. He closes her door and locks it. I sigh, going back to the kitchen. After eating, Aki and Maki lounge on the couch in their human forms while watching TV. I step in and sit on the coffee table that separates the couch and the TV. Maki was already half asleep on his stomach while Aki laid on his back, enjoying the TV program. Aki bolts up. "Hey! I was watching that!"
"Later time." I sigh and fold my hands in my lap. "What's going on with Saichi? Why is she like that?"
Maki yawns and sits up, rubbing his eyes. "Werecats like her go through a time of heat," he begins explaining. "Werecats have too much energy stored up due to our abnormal abilities so it's released daily through pheromones. Releasing pheromones is the healthy way to keep a balance of the human in us as well as the feline. The more powerful the werecat is, the worse their heat is and the more pheromones they release."
"Isn't that dangerous for her to walk around?"
"Werecats aren't common so she has little to nothing to worry about besides her motor skills and common sense. Besides, werecats don't usually smell anything from others in heat unless they mate and form that bond. Saichi has never done that and hasn't worried about doing it either."
"So, how is..." Do I dare asks? "How is Dimitrius helping her?"
"Werecats can relieve themselves through masturbation but most prefer a second party to help."
"So she's..."
I don't know if I'm suspicious or disgusted. "Don't worry. It is absolutely nothing going on between those two. Dimitrius helps her in heat because it gets too painful for her to handle on her own. For some reason, he knows exactly what to do to lessen the heat period from days to less than twenty-four hours. He did it once and she's trusted him ever since. When she calms down, it's over and he continues on as they were."
