I watched on the tv as Beckham was being interviewed ruthlessly on ESPN by reporters. Questions were flying at him left and right asking about the rumors of him paying for one night with Dee to the fight he got into with the photographer the night before.

"The only thing I was thinking about is that I didn't want anybody disrespecting my woman." Beckham said while standing in front of his locker after minicamp.

Just hearing him refer to Dee as his woman caused the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

"I still don't think they are gonna to last." Corey said handing me a beer.

He sat down in his favorite chair and we continued watching the highlights of his interview.

"What he did was out of line," Beckham continued. "If anybody should be apologizing it should be him!" He went on. "But as usual he will be seen as the victim and I'm gonna pay one way or another for what I did."

"Do you regret reacting the way you did?" A reporter asked.

"No, I don't." He said looking as if he really didn't regret anything.

I hated him. I thought to myself, but as much as I hated him I loved Dee more and I strongly believed that this thing with Odell was only a curious phase she was going through. Once it got old we would get back together, like we always did, and this time nothing was going to ever break us up again.

"Do you think he will press charges?" Another reporter asked him.

"I can't discuss any of that with you guys." He shook his head definitively.

"Do you think you will be punished by the league for what happened?" The same reporter followed-up.

"I don't think I should be. What happened had nothing to do with what I do on the field." Beckham answered. "I don't think the NFL should get involved, but knowing how the league works, I probably will see some type of punishment."

After the interviews finished they showed backstory about the drama surrounding Odell, including the story that Shannon was responsible for that TMZ posted. Then they showed video and images of Dee and I couldn't take my eyes off of her as she moved across my screen.

"I called and set-up that interview for you." Corey told me. "You sure you wanna still go through with this. They didn't even agree to you doing this and I could see it blowing up in your face."

"They have their way of handling this and I have mine." I told him pointedly.

"Well, we are meeting up with Jemele Hill in L.A. at the Ritz-Carlton on Sunday. Do you have everything ready?"

"We are leaving tomorrow right?" I confirmed.

I wanted to call Dee again to tell her what I was about to do and to also hear her voice but I knew she was still in New York and I didn't want a repeat of the previous night when Beckham and I got into it on the phone.

"Yup, so you can be up there already and get a good night's sleep." Corey affirmed. "You sure this will work."

"I think this will only go away if they hear from my mouth what really went down." I explained, "I'm the one who has been spurned in all of this according to them anyways."
